Hello All!

Hello Everyone,
I am new to the forum, though I did find this site last year when I started getting into face painting. I am very excited to be in this realm of art. I love the kids and their great reactions to my work. Like parenthood, it's often exhausting but ever-so rewarding. I decided to join this site because I would like to become more of a participant in the "community," continue to advance my skills, and exchange ideas in various areas (love the thread on festival displays).
This year I have decided to go full throttle into my face painting. I no longer have another gainful p/t job, just my full time "Mother" position which I love the most. It's been great being able to just stay home with my daughter. She has also taken to face painting as you can see by my avatar.
She rarely lets me paint her, and when she does...I'm wanting a drink afterward for the nerves (lol), though she is happy to give me tips and practice on me!! I will post pictures of my work and change my avatar. I just thought I'd share a fun day!

Hi Sandra,welcome. Your images aren't showing up for me,unfortunately. But your little girl in your avatar is a doll and her artwork is lovely.

Thank you all for welcoming me. It's really neat to be a part of a "community" in an area that I love. Thank you Lonnie for forwarding the link. I followed the directions so well see how it turns out. I've only been painting for about a year now. I slacked for about 6 months after house hunting, purchasing, moving, and improving our new home. Now I'm back into the swing and for some reason much better (I think). I did spend a lot of time (while not face painting) painting my daughters fairie mural in her room. I'm still not done, nor do I think I'll ever be...there's so much I can do! So, here an example of my work, in the beginning, and in the end....for your entertainment purposes, of course. It's not my best work (now), but it's so hard to get pics of kids at festivals. These are of my daughter and she's not patient..at all!! She prefers to paint me!
