Tween designs?
I'm doing a birthday party for a 12-year-old girl next weekend and the theme is Twilight. I've already had some help in choosing twilight-themed glitter tattoos from some on the list (thank you!), but I'm also wondering what kinds of FP designs does this age group like? I don't know if it's mostly boy or girl guests yet. I tried looking back through the list but couldn't find any threads about this age group. Also, I know kids never want the theme, but it can't hurt to be prepared...those of you who have read/seen twilight, would a vampire face pretty much cover it?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Re: Tween designs?
I would be prepared with elegant eye designs for the girls in gothic colors. They might want vampires, but they might decide to go "more grown up" than that. It's so hard to tell with that age group!
Re: Tween designs?
I have found in my area that boys this age will tend not to want to get painted, but you might get a few. I agree on the eye designs. I also get alot of mask requests from the tweens, and I have this rainbow/peace sign that they tend to like.
Re: Tween designs?
mostly beautiful masks and eye designs, but I've even been asked to paint ICP faces from a picture on a phone.
Re: Tween designs?
There's gonna be a free FABATV I-Candy class tomorrow at 8PM EST, that'll probably be helpful .
Re: Tween designs?
I do a lot of tweens, and yep... eye designs are big, along with anything that may look like a tattoo that you might do. Then arm stuff e.g. At the moment in Australia I have painted a lot of the word Reece from the band one direction. I had to look it up-LOL. So if you stuck have a look at Denise’s video with the graffiti. I don't know what is the latest fad where you are though.
Also the basic neon swipe with flowers and swirls up the arm for the non adventurous tween.
The tween boys do get painted less, but seem to go for dragons on arm, tribal on arm, or the Mike Tyson tattoo. but I have painted a few skulls on them as well. not many as they tend to go for arm designs. Although I did A tween boy party 6 months or so ago and ended up despite my preparation of the usual stuff painting rosary beads, teardrops from eyes and the words Thug life …hmmm
There is a SF video with Heather and some eye designs, plus the FABATV one soon. as well as the graffiti - Denise one (for the tweens in Looooove with some icon) and if stuck for boys – Linda’s Dragon. I have a few eye designs on my Facebook page. but I think they are very similar to my avatar, as I don't take photos when I am out. So don’t forget the flower and swirl types as well. There was a tribal challenge a while back that might be worth a look. For masks they are not my strength. but there are many on this forum who’s it is, so the show me your masks thread may be helpful.
Have fun I love the tween party’s - but I love eye designs, and the tweens always seem to talk a lot and educate me on pop culture of which I have no idea.

Re: Tween designs?
If it is Twilight themed, I would make sure you have a good wolf face too

Re: Tween designs?
Prepare a wolf, and a vampire that is nothing more than a pale face with fangs and (for girls) black eyeliner and maybe paint on extra eyelashes. Not your traditional Halloween vampire.
But I also think you will do best with goth looking eye designs. Think vines with black thorns, and the black lips like above would be perfect!
I have an 11 yr old, so the tween thing is showing up around here a lot lately!
