lounge/zero gravity chair?

Would one of these chairs work for facepainting? I have a problem with my younger daughter always looking down when I am painting her face. So I was wondering, what if I had them lay back in the chair and close their eyes and relax while I transform them? I havent tried it yet, but am thinking I would use a stool to sit on. But not sure how bad I would kill my back if I am leaning forward and over. My mom has one that I could swipe for events, which would save me from buying a directors chair right now until I make some more money. So, what do you think? Would it work, or be a back paining flop?

I feel like not only would you be leaning too much, but it would also take up A LOT of room and at most events, space is at a premium

One of the locations at universal is themed like a mad scientist lab, and they strap the kids down to a bit frankenstieny hospital bed looking thing

I have actually thought about that for doing pregnant bellies and custom glitter body bling along with the face painting... but Perry is right... that chair would take up a huge amount of space, which I don't have, and it would KILL my back.

I have done stage make-up on young children after making them lay on a table (have photos too!) - they were too squirmy to do sitting up. But we were airbrushing and it "tickled" apparently.

This was back last century.

I've done body painting with the model lying on my dining table as it puts that at a good level for me... but not always - depend on the designs.

I have done belly painting with the mom in a small recliner I have in my studio... I sit on a low stook beside it to paint.

But I wouldn't transport furniture to do it on a gig.

I only use that chair for belly painting. I can't even imagine what it would do to my back to have the person laid back and me on a stool. Wouldn't you have to paint practically upside down?
