EMPTY TAG CASES???

I am on a hunt for empty TAG cases the rectangle shaped ones... Does anyone have any????

They sell some cases very similar just a cm or so off the size of the tag cases at the container store for .59 cents, I bought some to make my own one strokes and it works great.

Details on those boxes? what part of the store did you find them, do they have a name, etc?

I pretty much just described the little box to the employee there and he lead me to them. They come in different colors and cost .59 cents...sorry I'm not much help.

Metina sells a hinged empty plastic box. I've used them and they work great.

yes these are them!! I bought the 1" x2" for .59 cents.
I like the other ones better for easier clean up and no water build up in the lid.

looks like the website doesn't carry the size that I got in the actual store..... sorry

Oh, I thought you meant the large rainbow rectangle cases...I don't use the small one strokes anymore...you can get a lot more colors and combos by using the big cases that the 50g colors come in...those are hard to find

When I was looking for large containers (NOT the one stroke size) to make my rainbow cakes, I scoured the aisles of every store in my area... as well as the internet.

I finally found what I wanted.... at Michaels... in the dollar deals aisle....

Decks of children's playing cards (Old Maid, Go Fish, etc.) that came in a hinged plastic container . I bought all of them up and was able to put two different rainbow cake creations in each container; one in the bottom and one in the lid... the two can be stored together in one container!

They also had regular playing cards in a clear acrylic container that had a lid that was basically the same size as the container, so it was also good for two rainbow cakes. I didn't choose those because I thought that they had a better chance of breaking than the first ones I described above.

I gave all the cards to the kids at my booth partner's daycare.

That is a great idea! Wish I had a Michael's 'round here...next time I'm in town I guess!

Check in the hardware section too. I re-purposed a picture-hanging kit recently for a small bling box.

I made a really nice rainbow cake in a container I took from work. I work with a dentist and materials always come in all sorts of odd shape and size of containers. There is something we use very frequently called gutta percha which is the actual material used for a root canal. Anyhow this material comes in little square boxes that fit 50 grams of paint easily if not more. Before anybody asks I need to check if we have more because we cleaned out and tossed out about two drawers full of these. My little light didn't go on soon enough to save the little boxes. :-(

The party place has micro decks of card too. I think they are pretty inexpensive. The manager gave me them for free cause all the cards had fallen out.

I sometimes use containers for off-brand Q-tips (cotton swabs/buds) that I found at Kmart. The Q-tips brand travel containers open on the side of the box but the off-brand ones open with a hinged top, which gives me 2 containers and they sell in a 2 pack (so, 4 containers) for $1. They are a tiny bit bigger than the TAG ones. I'll try to upload a picture.
