PHOTO Programs??

Hi. Any suggestions for free downloadable photo programs? What I'm looking for is something which allows me to insert words over my pictures, in any place on the photo where I'd like them. I use a Mac computer.

I just came across a website that does that, I used to use Picnik, but they closed down. In searching for a good replacement I found www.picmonkey.com which was actually made by ex-picnic engineers.

I use picasa 3 it lets me water mark my photos and put it where i want it.

For a free download program, I use Gimp and it gives me a lot of tools and can take some time to get what you want. Picmonkey, like Stacia said is great if you want fast and easy but the options are more limited.

GIMP... it's like a free version of photoshop... there is a bit of a learning curve to it, but if you are at all familiar with photoshop, you'll feel right at home.

I LOOOOOVE GIMP. Best program ever. Completely free.
