Maryland in da HOUSE!
Hi everyone,
I'm Mike Smith. Been painting for 6 years. Please don't slam my website. It's old, the pic's are dated, and it reeks of suckage. Still gets jobs, though.

Hiya! I think the website is GREAT! Welcome to the FORUM! I'm looking into those airbrush tattoo's. Do they prove to be very profitable for you?
Re: Maryland in da HOUSE!
Hi Shannon! Very nice to meet you.
@starpony: Airbrush tatt's are profitable, but the startup costs are steep, you have to lug around tons of stuff, and the prep and cleanup time is a pain.
I use an 8-brush manifold, a 20lb cO2 tank, and 200 stencils. I custom built most of it.
I probably did about 6 airbrush tatt gigs this year. My 14 year old daughter does all the tattooing, and makes a relative fortune (dollars/time).

Re: Maryland in da HOUSE!
hello mike!!! welcome to the forum. Noone is going to slam anyone's website here....... it's a pretty friendly and informative one.
since you are an airbrush wiz. how do you know if you have a bad airbrush gun vs. just a dirty one (i.e. soaked the nozzle, tip, etc... and thoroughly went thru all the places that get dirty with my mini dental tool) and still not spraying thru while my paint just bubbles and bubbles in the bottle. do u think people should take a class to figure it all out? do u recommend keeping at least one gravity feed brush for a setup?

Welcome!!!! No slamming! We are fun and supportive here! And... I like your site, your work is cool. I dig your style... and I too want to see recent work. I have airbrush questions too, but I think I'll save them for a post.
I'm wondering how you got your daughter eased into it. Mine is 11 and is dying to paint, but I won't let her for a job just yet.
Welcome!

Mike
I think your work is awesome. I like your line work, very free relaxed, but still crisp and defining. And I love the scary stuff.
