Can I have votes please?....
On what you believe to be the best stripy/rainbow/split/pot/cake/face whatever-they're-called, thingies (you know what I mean!) that you personnally use in your facepaint kit?
I'll buy whichever brand/type that tallies the most votes.
I'll give you cake if you help?

For me 'spring' and 'smooth' but they're available in the Netherlands by that name.
Don't think it's very helpfull, that's why I didn't answer!
All cakes with purple, yellow, whites in it are my favorite!

I use the Grimas rainbow cake made by Facepaint UK (Bibi Freeman) and generally have a neon rainbow cake as well (I used up a DFX and now am using a TAG). Those are the only two "retail" that I have bought myself. Any other splits I made for myself.

Tag one stroke snake and dragon,
for the big split cakes neon rainbow.
You are from Birmingham? I orriginally come from Great barr/ Perry Bar although moved to Australia when I was small. So the other out there suggeston would be light blue then white then I think berry wine, as I think that may be the closest to Aston Villa (claret a bit tricky) and although odd you may make some money out of that- LOL.

Re: Can I have votes please?....
Here are the ones I get the most use out of. All brands are TAG.
Rainbow cakes:
- neon rainbow (rainbow butterflies and tigers are hella popular)
- not sure the name, I just call it "girly" - pearl pink, pearl purple, pearl blue (very popular for butterflies)
- tiger (the one I have is pearl white, pearl yellow, pearl orange)
One-strokes:
- leaf (with yellow not white)
- flame
- regular rainbow (neon works best when loaded with a sponge, can be too muddy/transparent with a brush)
- unicorn (I don't have this one, but a lot of people use it)
I'd say those are the basics. If I had to choose one I couldn't live without, it would definitely be the neon rainbow cake. Everyone loves it.

Re: Can I have votes please?....
Oh thank you thank you! **happily passes round cake** This is most helpful. TAG seems popular so far.
You see, my problem as a novice in all this is there is too much choice. Trying to figure out which colours to buy is one thing (though easy enough in itself), it's the choices of which particular brand is the better of the bunch that stump me, then there seem to be the choice for pots of different sizes, different depths, pots of different shapes, ie, circular/rectangular....It's almost overwhelming.
Perfectlypainted - Beg pardon, but "One Stroke"? One Strokes?! What devil and trickery is this?! There's more??!
**clean faints away**

Re: Can I have votes please?....
One strokes are the same as splitcakes!
Those are the small ones, rainbow cakes are the big ones.
