Hi everyone I was wondering what paints will work well under a black light? I have a party to do in a couple weeks at a bowling alley for cosmic bowling and I think it would look awsome if there faces were glowing anyone have any ideas on what paints glow?

Kryolan neons glow the best under blacklight. I also like Wolfe neons.

I have the Kryolans... they look great under black light, they look pretty crappy under regular light. But I still use them... I have a Rock & Bowl event on Mother's Day where I'll be using them.

I have the Wolfe neons in a sampler pallet for that kind of thing since I don't use them all that often.

alright this is by no means the best test but as I have a few neons and a uv torch (yep not the best) thought I would share)
The stuff

before sponged on order wolfe then Tag then Kryolan.

Then after (same order sponged on) two pics to show torch hitting close up and far away about and fairness to each side. (they were all good)

so on a brush... I suck at kryolan with a brush and have spent months learning how bad I suck with kryolan and a brush.

My opinion.

They all glow the same some colours are better than others. the only thing I think worth mentioning is that Kryolan Is way easyer to work with as a neon on a sponge. If they made a split cake I would by it its lovley. however I hate the stuff on a brush...(could be me)

I think Tag and wolfe are both better for linework.

I recently ordered the DFX pallette to compare as I have a UV gig coming up so I will be using Kryolan for bases as it is a dream on a sponge (love the stuff there) compared to the others. and either the dfx if I like it, or pulling apart the sampler and replacing it with the wolfe - for the linework.
not that I dislike the Tag it glows just as good - but I do like the tag container better for butterflys. I suspect however that given how well they all glow I don't expect less of DFX and will probebly use that.

So not the best pics (i only have a torch) but I think just looking at them in the process of doing this- they all under blacklight they look much the same in all honesty, it just kind of depends what you are doing with them and what brand you prefer.

other notes was disapointed with the wolfe blue but loved its purple and the Kryolan green and yellow looked too similar under blacklight the others did too but it was really really close with the Kryolan.
hope it helps.

Thanks for posting that Sue! They do look very similar. Just a matter of preference.
I did notice that you had the Wolfe and Tag mixed up when you labeled them. I only know cause Tag splits the pink and orange and wolfe has them next to each other. I recently cut my tag pallet and repositioned the pink next to the orange because I like it better. (the way Wolfe has is)... but I like the rectangle container MUCH better.
