One-stroke Dragon Empty One-stroke Dragon

Post by Denise Cold Sat Feb 25, 2012 10:51 pm

Thought I'd share a one-stroke dragon I tried tonight based on one that Anna Wilinski (Clash the Clown) made. Her's is much better but I like the idea of making traditional designs into one-stroke...people LOVE one-stroke cakes. I get almost as many ooohs and aaaahs when I make a rainbow as I do when I paint a design like a spider.

This is the autumn leaf cake I made and I used a round brush with the green end color to fill in the nose and lip and under the eyes. You could use a dragon cake or snake and get good results.

Thanks! She a lot of cool linework on hers that made it more intense but I'm trying to come up with stuff I can use at fairs this summer that have a big wow effect and take less than 5 minutes.

Thanks Suzy! I keep thinking I've got to make up a practice sheet to share here. I've actually been practicing brush italics that you make with a round brush and I really like the look but surprisingly it's a lot harder than using a flat brush.
