No longer a belly virgin

I finally did it! I painted my first belly. Not terribly inspired, but I was feeling very underqualified.
That said, I think it turned out pretty good, and momma was pleased. Even daddy said I was good!
I told her I didn't need payment, just experience, and maybe pictures. I got all three!

Oh, and I forgot to mention...
She has a pretty expansive tattoo surrounding her navel. I didn't think it would EVER conceal! I put down layer upon layer, then gave up, hoping the details would obscure it. I was right!

That looks amazing. I have a question. Did you practice that on something before you did it? I want to try bellypainting but I am scared to death!!!!! I'm afraid that if I just go in there blind, I'm going to make a mess of her belly. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Imma have to be honest and tell you that I did not practice at all before I went. In fact, I have been very busy lately, and would have had a quiet night in, if not for that belly painting, so I had a little bit of a bad attitude about going. I was expecting to be able to do it earlier in the afternoon, and not cut into my family time that evening, so I dawdled until I would have been late, if I had waited any more. But she had a meeting until six, and couldn't be home earlier. I was booked every day through Halloween, so I couldn't do it any other night, and she wanted it done before Halloween.
But I put on my big girl panties and went anyways. We had a good time, once I decided to get a grip, lol!
