My Halloween Faces - Part 1 (pic heavy)
I thought I'd share some of the cool costumes I painted yesterday. I can't wait till next weekend when I'm sure I'll be doing 3 times as many. I love the variety and the challenge! All of these faces were my first time doing them or trying new tricks, like the effects on my zombie face. It was a super fun day!
First... What happened after Belle and the Beast got married? They had a Son of a Beast!
This was my first ever Avatar character... very fun to paint, but not fun to try to match the color of the costume.
An awesome skull... it's the first time I've painted a skull on a live person, they were all on my practice head before. He loved it so much he's going to come back next weekend with his head shaved so I can paint his entire head as a skull!
And this is my Rotting Zombie face I wore for the local Zombie Crawl last night. It was a hit... although after about 3 hours I had to pull part of it off because it was driving me insane to have all that latex on my face!

Woooow, Amanda, very different faces and styles! Can't wait to see all those wonderful designs next weekend (Please, post pics)!!! Love your skull (I'm sure it will be even more amazing with his shaved head) and your zombie face is really creepy!

Great avatar and I love your 'beasts' for the beauty and the beast.
That zombie prosthetic face is great where the skin is pulled back - really looks raw!

Thanks guys! I was contacted by every person I painted yesterday thanking me and telling me how much fun they had! Daddy Beast and the Avatar both won costume contests. It was so cool having people call me the next day just to say thanks!

You fully deserve it!! They're all great!
One question to ask... Did you make the skin-flaps with tissues and latex? Sorry, I'm all new on this one, but would like to try!

Lizzie... Yeah, it's layers of napkin and liquid latex built up and then you kindof tear the open edge away from your face. I saw a tutorial on YouTube that showed how to do it. It was really helpful! Later I'll post the guys name so you can find the video... He has lots of great tutorials for special effects stuff!
Re: My Halloween Faces - Part 1 (pic heavy)
I bought a bottle of liquid latex today and started practising!
Also bought a mould with cute little flowers in it, so I can try making latex flowers too!
Has anyone tried this before??
