Not original at all
Today was belly day. I have been sketching all week and had 3 absolute knock-out options mapped out in my book, as well as one or two initial sketches that I used to get the ball rolling. When the mom arrived I handed her the book certain I would get to paint an original masterpiece... Well, let's just say we've seen this one before!

(What do you think of my "concentration face?" I can't believe she caught me with my tounge out!)

Can't get to it. It must be a privacy issue on Facebook. That's okay. I'm sure it's lovely!!

Re: Not original at all
whoops ok. thanks for letting me know. Here is the only pic I have atm. (but you don't get to see my silly face!)
Re: Not original at all
Awww, well it may not be 'original' enough for you, but it sure is BEAUTIFUL! What amazing work. And I too love the whimsy of the daisies on her shoulder.
And even though we don't get to see your 'look of concentration' in this photo, thanks for sharing.
I like the look on your face in your avatar... you might be squinting in bright light, but to me it looks like you're concentrating or thinking hard about something. Love it. And nice work on that art too.
I really like how you made the background progressively lighter towards the center. I'm still desperately trying to learn shading and depth, etc.
I'm very impressed.

Re: Not original at all
well..you did a good job and I assume the mom to be was very happy with it? that is all that matters in the end..
Re: Not original at all
That's right, the Mom was thrilled and that's what matters. And I'm happy with it too- there's just that part of me that wanted to show off for my peers! But thank you all for saying nice things and making me feel like I did something fancy anyway.
@Kristen-- Yeah, yeah... the light was bright- that's it. Those wrinkles aren't normally there unless I squint... yeah, that's the ticket!

Ah Geekophile, you're beautiful - stunning - laugh lines and all. In fact, they just enhance it - shows you can appreciate a good chuckle.
Wear them like a badge of honour. You've 'earned' them after all.
