Wolfe white - where can I get it?

Is wolfe white out of stock EVERYWHERE? I've been looking for it off and on since January, and I'm not able to find it. I did get an Essentials Pallet, but they're only 5gm and I'm nearly out of white. I really need to upgrade to some larger paint containers, but I can't find it in stock anywhere!

I just bought some from Wolfe directly... ordered it 2 days ago and got it today.

I spoke to Wolfe FX yesterday and they are pretty much out of all white now. Keep looking around. There are some suppliers out there that may still have some.

I noticd MANy suppliers are out of white in many brands... That suggests that Titanium Oxide is for some reason in short supply.

profacepaint.com has some. Metina has DFX white as well which is comparable

I always buy 90g for that simple reason,I just found out wolfe makes their paints in China now,,can this be true....

Wow, I just googled "Titanium Oxide Shortage" and you are correct Leapinglizards! There is a global shortage!

Well... good thing I have stockpiles of Kryolan White, Snaz White, DFX White and Wolfe White then isnt't it????

Gah! I did too. And in my usual manner...I am also stockpiling. I just started in on my "backup" 45gr pot of DFX and need a new backup...or 6

I just googled it too - didn't see anything about an unending global supply shortage, and according to one article it's the 7th most common element on the planet - so I'm holding off on the panic, though I will probably order an extra backup, 'cause who can live without wolfe white (OMG I initially typed an "s" instead of a "w" in "white" - woops!).

From the cursory skimming of several articles I did, it looks like the current problem is more due to how expensive and toxic it is to get it to a useable form, but that there are several new technologies emerging that show promise toward greener and more efficient solutions. So maybe in another couple years, we'll actually see a drop in the price(hahaha).

Never knew so much about TiO2 before. It's in street paint, cosmetics, toothpaste, dental implants...apparently we even drink the stuff - they add it to skim milk to make it whiter. Amaze your friends with useless trivia!

I went a bit crazy partially because I like having backups of everything, and partially because I tend to think a bit more in bulk when it comes to shipping. Having 5 90gr pots shipped to my house from Dotsy's in Toronto would be $115, whereas *6* 90 gr pots sent to the mail place across the border from within the States is $114. I go to the States for gas all the time anyway (it's $3.89/gallon in Washington, as opposed to $1.35/litre in BC - roughly 4 litres per gallon, btw - so I'm saving about $0.40/litre which is AWESOME!) so why not, right?

I was just looking over my stash of face paints thinking I overpurchased. I had bought 2 45g Wolfe white a few months ago because I really like stacking the 45s. Kristal, when I lived in Windsor I loved being able to get things shipped to my friends in Detroit. I had a job at a weekly newspaper in Detroit and could have things delivered to the offices there too! At least you have the exchange rate in your favour now.

Oh my! Thankfully I have plenty of white! Purchased 2 x Paradise whites for backgrounds, and have a DFX and WFX white for line work . . . I'm covered for a white . . I mean for a while! hee

LOL Sophie - I'm not the only one! Got a message back from Jodi Carr saying that people were only buying 90 gr white yesterday.

Thanks Ashley...I'm amazed they do this. Seems like a slap in the face for retailers but perhaps they sell it for the rrp also...
