DFX white vs TAG white
So I'm running low on my DFX white, no problem I'll just order more, but when I got to the forum shop there was no DFX 90 g to be found.
Apparently it's out of stock in the US.
How similar is TAG white to DFX?

Re: DFX white vs TAG white
Hiya,
I want to be clear in that I meant I couldn't buy it from the US distributor as they are out of stock. Other vendors may have some. Not that I want you to go elsewhere, I just don't want you to think I was not being truthful.

Re: DFX white vs TAG white
Thanks for verifying Metina. I checked a couple of other places and they're out of stock too! Hope the distributor gets a new batch in soonish.
But DFX vs TAG? I'm finishing up my pot of Wolfe and I have a new pot of DFX waiting (When I finished my old DFX and went to Wolfe the only thing I remember noticing was that Wolfe seemed thicker? I'll be back on DFX within the next week or two and will see if I notice anything, haha.), but I was wondering about TAG, so this is a nicely timed thread.
If it's similar, and they should be, I'll give it a go - good to hear thoughts before getting a 90gr pot though

Re: DFX white vs TAG white
Oops. Sorry Metina. At the same time, like Kristal said I did check with a few other vendors and everyone seems to be 'out'. And my white is currently more empty container than white, I think my next gig is going to clean me out...
Re: DFX white vs TAG white
TAg in white work good for me. I've had no problems...

Re: DFX white vs TAG white
I use both DFX and Wolfe, I personally like wolfe black better and DFX white better. The black DFX is just harder for me to personally wash off my own skin is the reason. It smears a lot before I can get it all off. So, I use the wolfe. I really like wolfe products and I have not really had the need to try the tag white. But all the other colors are really great so I am sure that it will be also.
TAG white bad for line work & blossoms
I hate to say it but I'm hating on the TAG white right now. I had it flaking off my skin when I did blossoms on my face and Emma's the other day and today I had a girl come back after 20 mins to replace a jewel on her crown but I was upset because her white linework had almost completely flaked off. Not good, not good.
I had a tiger with Diamond FX on almost all day and had no problems. I don't like it for sponging over eyes because it feels a little sticky...but I'll take sticky over flaky any day. I've used up two DFX without the flaking I've had recently.
I'm going to use my TAG white for splits (maybe base work? I haven't really tried it for that yet) and such but I can't use it for line work until I find out the problem has been fixed. It also has a little less coverage. (Maybe I'll do a more scientific test while I still have some DFX left.)
It's a bummer because I love, LOVE TAG every thing else but I'll probably get Wolfe or DFX white for linework. I really like my wolfe black...it's lasting a really long time and great coverage.

Re: DFX white vs TAG white
Best white you are going to get is either DFX or Wolfe. I have both but truly prefer DFX over anything else
Re: DFX white vs TAG white
Thanks for feedback on there--my daughter just had her entire kit stolen (ARGHHH) and we need to replace ---but no Wolfie white anywhere. I appreciate the thred!
Re: DFX white vs TAG white
Anniel...where are you located? That sucks about the theft...so sorry.

Re: DFX white vs TAG white
I've used up 90g pots of Wolfe, DFX, and TAG in different seasons and on different skin types and I have honestly never noticed a difference in performance.

Re: DFX white vs TAG white
I have only used tag.. but I agree that the Tag white esp line work becomes flaky and comes off very quickly.. I did that dolphin thing yesterday and within an hr I noticed it flaking, I will have to try DFX. I havent had this problem with any other colour in the range though.
