Canada Insurance and CAFABA

Hello! I was wondering what my fellow Canadians have for insurance. I tried to search for Clowns Canada but there seems to be a problem with their website - should I just join the World Clown Association and get their insurance since Clowns Canada exists under the umbrella of their organization? Is there an alternative in Canada for liability insurance?
My other question is about CAFABA - the Canadian Association of Face and Body Artists - their website has been suspended and I've tried to contact people through their facebook page but no one has gotten back to me (the last message on their page was from 2010). Does anyone know if they are still active?

You're right... I wonder what happened to their website?

WCA has a completely different insurance from ours and you can't get it in Canada. Try emailing Shelley shelley@dotsytheclown.com and she can probably get you in touch with whoever is in charge of that... she's usually pretty good with answering emails promptly. Their insurance renews May 1st, as does membership. So, while you want to get in touch with them now, you may not want your start date to be until May 1st so you aren't paying twice.

Okay this is too weird... I was just looking for the website for Clowns Canada too!! My bookmark for the page didn't work so I went looking for them on Facebook instead and saw your post on there, Perry, which made me think to check back here to see if anyone knew anything and I found this thread. What a funny coincidence!!

I think they prorate if you register before the renewal date. Hope they get the website sorted out soon.

Weird... I was on the Clowns Canada site not more than a week ago and it was fine...

The CAFABA site always seems to have issues. I gave up even bookmarking it.

Clowns Canada website was down several days, but now it works again
