Re: Post your submissions here!
I really REALLY do NOT like music attached/included with images. I also don't like it on websites but that's my preference. Could you possibly not do that to images you are posting on the forum? If others don't mind I'll bow to the majority but I find it extemely annoying.
I used to access things at work and I know lots of people so check in from their work computer so having something like that blasting at them is NOT a good thing!!

Re: Post your submissions here!
Although it's very cool, I'm not a fan either. I about jumped out of my seat.
Re: Post your submissions here!
Wow! What a step by step showing!!!! Nicely done EVERYONE!! I feel inspired by your efforts........ I was laughing when I drove through MS and LA this week because they have Mardi Gras wreaths and garland on their homes and businesses!! They just take down Christmas and pop up Mardi Gras!! So fun.
Re: Post your submissions here!
Love the necklace, Jessica! I don't know how you manage to paint that on yourself. Looks tricky!
Re: Post your submissions here!
It was tricky! When I first started doing it I was like, "How in the WORLD am I going to do this??" It was very awkward. After a few minutes you get the hang of it. Try it!
Re: Post your submissions here!
I might just do that. I've been a face painting fool this past week. As soon as I pick my son up from preschool today, I was planning on having some more face paint practice on myself.
Re: Post your submissions here!
Sherry- Paint yourself THEN go pick up your son! It's great/free marketing! In my house, my rule is that no one goes to the toy store until they are painted. I get a lead almost everytime!
Re: Post your submissions here!
LOVE that mask Jessica! WOW...that is one I'd want to wear just walking around out and about!!
That necklace is awesome and OMG...my eyes are aching just thinking about doing it with that level of detail!! I love it!
I kind of agree with the music 'auto play' thing. I do youtubes with music...but most folks know there is music on youtubes and have the option of 'not' clicking it if at work or somewhere they do not want music or can 'turn it down' on the display. I hate websites with 'autoplay' music where I'd have to adjust my actual system volume. It annoys me too!
But I love the art work and the format of the pictoral display!! That's an awesome 'peacock' feather mask!!! I loved your flaming heart too! But sometimes I have a sleeping baby on my lap and need to run in 'stealth mode'... Is there a way to change the music setting so it doesn't override the entire system??

All the designs are great! And the beads are WoW! Very cool! Love the black feathery lashes too.
The music isn't a big deal to me cause I usually always have my speakers turned off. I had no idea there was music until someone said something but just an fyi for others there is an icon of a speaker in the lower left corner of the video, just click that once and the music will shut off.

Thanks Heather!
I feel really bad...the "music" lady is gone. She pulled her posts off and said goodbye. I think we hurt her feelings. That's horrible.

Re: Post your submissions here!
I have pm'd her and asked her to please stay with us and I would ask others to do the same. When your new, your skin is really thin. Maybe she will reconsider.
And I am really a bit sad she is gone as now I can't remember the site she used to do those slideshows. I wanted to make a few. DARN! Anyone remember?

sorry
Bye everyone have fun.
I actually thought the music video was cool, not annoying. My husband was moving to the music as it was playing
I'm sorry you are leaving.
If I may give my opinion... I feel, if you must, in the future a polite pm to the person is the better route then posting a strong complaint in front of everyone.

Re: Post your submissions here!
I thought she was really talented and a 'boon' to the group.
I tried to say politely that the music was annoying...since it autoplays when you read a thread and you might not be able to find it asap....I do have sleeping 'napping' babies about most times I actually get to sit down to check the site and really would prefer to not have music playing unless I click something to start it. It's not the music, but the 'auto play' feature while you are even on the thread.
Again, I loved her artwork and the pictorial display was super cool! I hope she comes back!! So here is an 'official' appology on my behalf if I hurt your feelings...here up front, where I posted my 'second that' complaint! A thousand pardons!!
You were not annoying, the music 'auto play' feature was. Please realize that we were not saying 'you' were annoying! You have super cool designs and that pictorial took alot of work and effort and it was awesome!!
My sincerest appologies to you,
Heather

Oh, I'm so sorry she left! (Please come back!) I loved the design, and I found myself jamming to that song for two solid days. ROFL... it was really catchy! I thought the slide show was awesome too... had never seen one done that way. It looked nice and professional.
Metina, I thought the slide show was so awesome that I saved the link for it.

Do you have an address or link where we can reach her? I feel terrible for her. I can totally understand her feelings... I would probably have been hurt too. She hadn't really gotten to know us yet.

Re: Post your submissions here!
Yeah, I sent her a PM as soon as I saw that. I hope she gets on and checks her account. Poor thing.
Re: Post your submissions here!
another submission:
Mardi Gras Tiger
supplies used:
Paradise white, yellow, lt. green, hot rod green metallic, black
Wolf metallic purple
No. 5 round brush, sponge applicator, hydro-sponge triangle
I first sponged white around the eyes and mouth.
Next I sponged yellow around the eyes and chin, leaving the forehead and middle of the cheeks blank.
I added a few stripes of light green, edging the yellow on the forehead, with a stripe in the middle and edging the bottom of the yellow on the upper cheeks.
I added some metallic green over the light green as I felt it wasn't vibrant enough.
I filled in any blank spots with the wolf metallic purple.
Next I used a sponge applicator to blend my rough edges of all the colour stripes.
Last I added stripes and details with black.

Hiya,
I am sure the JK knows that she is welcome and maybe in time she will come back. Let's try not get too hung up on the drama of it all and move on.
Wonderful submissions so far. This is going to be a tough one!
