I SERIOUSLY only use a small spray bottle and all the water I tote is a clean "Nestles chocolate quick" bottle!

Have any of you tried to use the spritz method? I see other painters with those big jugs. I used to do that too, but I am now convinced and have become a total SPRITZ EVANGELIST! cheers

Wouldn't the tennis balls be just a touch bulky? I used a combo of electrical tape and the end caps from window blinds, lol. I'll try take a pic to show you.

There is a spray paint for use on plastics(like lawn furniture) that might work.

JBax, I love that I could impress YOU for once! Smile Smile Smile

Oh, yes! I love the decal! It adds a really professional touch! Smile

I got my decal at:
VISTAPRINT
http://www.vistaprint.com/

It was about $20. The decals can be sticky in front or BACK.
(I don't suggest these for autos since they are opaque).

The decal on my FatMax has adhesive on the BACK.

CL, I am not sure that spray would work on the non-mar surface of the FatMax. Maybe try a flower in the rear and see how that wears for a bit!

As far as water toting goes, I use 5 gallon ice cream buckets. I take 2. One with clean water & one to throw my used sponges in & my old water in. They fit inside each other in the bottom bin of the fatmax & go under it while I paint.

Psalm, what do you put your paints in/on while you paint? Do you use a table?

I carry my paints in a laptop & a scrapbook paper holder. They are velcroed in. I just open them across the top of the fatmax & use it as my table. I use the lid side for my towel, brushes, wipes & any other odds & ends. The paint cases tuck into the bottom compartment for traveling.

FatMax Questions:

1. Does anyone work from their FatMax alone?
2. Where is that little tray that comes with the FM, most stable; or isn't it stable at all?

I don't work from my FatMax, but am thinking about trying it. It would be nice to have everything accessible in a smaller space. That little lift-out tray with the handle fits in the top compartment. There's some space under it for storage. The tray is quite sturdy. Is that what you were asking?

I have a laminated, letter sized "sign" attached to the front of my fatmax in much the same fashion as your decal. Mine is just attached with black electrical tape around the edges.

FATMAX PROS & CONS - Page 2 Empty Re: FATMAX PROS & CONS

Post by Fabtastic Fri Oct 01, 2010 12:34 pm

The last few Saturdays I have worked out of my FM alone. I have been setting a piece of foam-core (20" x 30") over the top part as a table, with a tablecloth tucked underneath on my side but hanging down to cover the end and other side - it looks nice. My signage is also on a piece of foam-core. So, in one hand I carry a bucket which has my jug of water inside, I have my two pieces of foam-core under my arm, and I pull the Fat Max with my other hand. It's awesome to be so self-contained.

Now, I confess that for comfort I have been bringing my own folding chairs, so it does take either a second trip or a second person (my hubby always drives me so that is no problem), but I want to get a tall director's chair that I can bungee to my FM. And my husband is making me a different table-top out of hardboard, it will be a little heavier so in future I will also bungee that as well as my signage. I love the idea with the brackets - it's got me thinking... Laughing
