Putting Together a Newspaper Ad
Any ideas to make a newspaper ad stand out a little?
A new local paper has free classifieds for a limited time, and I can upload 4 color pics to their web version of the ad. This paper is distributed to my target market area, and I would like to make the best use of this opportunity. Besides the basics, anyone have any thoughts on what I should include? I have a couple days to work on it before it needs to be submittted. Thanks for your help!

Re: Putting Together a Newspaper Ad
carefully choose your best pictures and be sure that you use the best keywords in your ad. There isn't really much else that you can do other than what they allow (bold or underlined text) and what usually gets YOUR attention when looking through advertisements.
Although I can't say that most people would be looking in the classifieds for a face painter, you never know and it's free, so why not.

Thanks, Perry! It will be in the "General" section with plumbers, Mary Kay distributors, handy men and the like. I figured I might as well give it a go since it's free and marketed to my area.

Re: Putting Together a Newspaper Ad
try getting a website together like on webs.com which is free. Upload your pics and put that website in the paper so people can go an look at your work.
Re: Putting Together a Newspaper Ad
Maybe have a coupon for multiple services.
Ex. Face Painting/Balloon twisting $5 off
Face painting/balloon twisting/glitter tattoos $10 off
It shows a savings which people like to see & makes you more $ because they take the more expensive pkgs.
