Festival Q's... How much to bring?

I have a big festival coming up w/ 25,000 people. I plan to have 2 face painters, 1 balloon twister & one person doing henna/glitter tattoos. I've never been concerned about running out of product before, but this is a 12 hour gig(I may drop dead:-)

I know a few of you do these type of events regularly.

1) How many balloons do I need?
2) how much glitter & how many stencles?
3) how many henna bottles(I have the 2 oz. size)?

I've read a lot of the threads on festivals, but haven't seen this covered. Any other advice would be great! Thanks ya'll!

I don't know how many oz's my henna cones are, but I know for a festival that size I would bring five, but probably would only use two. A little henna goes a long way unless you are doing really HEAVY designs.

I have approx. 100 designs of stencils and approx. 5-10 of each design. I just did a 3 day festival and barely made a dent in them.
I wish you better luck then I had.
I don;t re-use the stencils either.

I did the Viva Vienna 2 day Festival and the FREE stuff the churches gave away (face painting, balloons, and more stuff) kinda mess us up some. We came out a little more than even, so i wish you better Luck! Glitter tatts were definitly popular so bring lots of glue!

Maybe for the balloons, figure out how long it takes them to twist their average design and go from there. You can figure out about how many balloons they can twist in an hour, and add some more for breakage. That will at least let you know what the maximum number of balloons they will use is. (Wow, bad grammar.)

That's kind of how I figured my balloons out...I only do multi-balloon pieces, and one crazy day I kept track and I'd done 22/hour. Rounded that up to 25, and averaged each piece to be 3 balloons...roughly 75 balloons/hour. Rounded that to 1 full bag of 100/hour.

I stuff my balloon rolls to breaking point (one section of elastic DID snap! bunk!), then pack any specialty extras I go through a lot of - white 5" rounds, bee bodies, etc.

So...lots. Not very helpful, I know, lol. I also severely overpack, and bring most back, but I'd rather do that than run out of something.

seriously? 1200 balloons for ONE gig?? even if it is 12 hours, I doubt you'd make a huge dent in even 1000 balloons. I pack my balloon apron as full as it goes. If I run out of one colour or another, oh well, they pick a different colour. I didn't even come close to using 1000 balloons over 3 days and 2 hours of that was FREE balloons.

I presume this is ppf and ppb... in which case you'll be doing a small fraction of that expected attendance. Don't panic... pack what you've got and go with the flow.

Erm...probably more, actually. My balloon bag weighs probably 20-25 lbs at capacity? It's a pain to restock them too often - I would rather cram them full and have them good to go for the next month. I also want to never run out of a colour...might not be the easiest (or lightest!) way of doing things, but it works for me.

One hint for you if you are having all of that going on. We were able to se WAY more Glitter Tats at a St Patty's Day Festival than we usually do.
Here's what we did. (We only had face painting & glitter tats)

Face Painting line was ridiculous......like 30 + people in line, so my daughter who was doing glitter tats walked up and down the line showing off her Phoenix glitter tat that we had just put on that morning, saying that there was NO WAIT for the glitter tats and that they lasted 3-5 days, blah, blah, blah......She soon had her own line.
She ended up doing about 15- 20 or so glitter tats an hour +/-
