How much for Shrek & Fiona?
I'd made Shrek and Fiona costumes years ago for my husband and I as he's 6' 9" and a real ham. I dressed him up again for our daughter's 5th birthday last weekend and he told me today he'd be willing to dress up for other parties if I wanted him to. He doesn't do anything like balloon twisting and I don't think this old dog would be willing to learn either. He is very entertaining though and excellent with kids. He's like the pied piper. He does the scottish accent too.
So my questions are, what should I charge to have us both dressed up and I provide the facepainting. I currently charge around $75 an hour for me without costume. What could he do? Is there a market for it or is Shrek passé.
He's painted...I'm photoshopped ... LOL

I think it could be cool. So what if doesn't twist? Remember the Shrek Karaoke in the Swamp at the end of the movie? I could see him leading the kids in song and dance. And if he's providing entertainment, you charge more. Yeah, I don't know how much. But definately call it a package deal.
Re: How much for Shrek & Fiona?
you two are precious! I say the mere presence is way awesome, even if he could just do line control. We still get folks dressing up as Shrek at the costume store and don't forget, the next movie is about to come out too.
Re: How much for Shrek & Fiona?
I'm not sure what to charge extra, but I charge an extra $25 for my one daughter's balloon twisting & $45 extra for my other daughter's glitter tattoos. They make $20 each & the rest of the $ goes to replenish supplies.

I would charge $50.00 extra to show up in costume... You guys look so cute

Re: How much for Shrek & Fiona?
could he learn some pocket magic or something? ... is it passe? I don't know, but it doesn't hurt to offer it even if no one ever books it really.
Re: How much for Shrek & Fiona?
Awww...thanks guys. He'd be great at running karaoke. He's a hilarious dancer too.
Here he is at our daughter's school carnival last year. He's standing by adults, not kids. OK, 'fun-sized' adults, but not midgets. His paint is not great, but it was before I knew about professional paints. He was a good sport and went in the dunk tank too.

The karaoke idea sounds great! It'd really give you something no one else could offer. How many people can offer a full sized karaoke singing Shrek? Even aduts would go for that.
Re: How much for Shrek & Fiona?
Well, there IS a new Shrek movie coming out. So I don't think he's that much out of date. :p
50$ extra for each person in costume seems reasonnable.
I like the Karaoke idea and it'd be great if he could entertain kids a little. Perhaps with a "Puss-n-boot" or "Donkey" puppet?
