I've had requests from adults about temporary tattooes. I'm not ready to get an airbrush system. I've been looking at the TEMPTU paints & was wondering if they were easy to paint with. If you have any sample images, that would be great too! Thanks!

Love that stuff! It last so well and the colours are nice and opaque =)
On the leg - on the bottom picture - the model told me it lasted 1½ week.

do you have time to fix any mistakes before it dries or don't make any mistakes? I'd be so afraid knowing that it would last that long.

I dries very fast, but you can remove it easy with isopropyl alcohol. If doing a complex design I often sketch it with watercolour pencils. After the first layer, I can remove it with water and maybe a bit of soap.

I use Reel Creations inks. Similar to Temptu. I like them. Easy to use freehand, activates with 99% isopropyl alcohol, cleans up with same...

LoneWolf- you are using the solid cakes that activate w/ alcohol, correct?

I have the Temptu Dura airbrush color but it is meant for airbrushing so I can't use it easily w/a brush.

No, I use http://shop.temptupro.com/c-111-platinum-liquids.aspx. I also have the Reel palette, and I use when I need other colours than black, but when they are used up, I will buy the platinum temptu. They last a lot longer.

One thing I have found is really important is that not just layering it with powder in between, but especially under the first layer (after you have cleaned it with alcohol). And then powder on top also. It takes the shine - and make it last.

Cool, I've never freehanded the airbrush ink. It's cook that you can make such a personalized design that will last. I also was really impressed with temptu's artists that used the stencils like one would on a car, just for certain areas, then freehanded the rest. So cool, there is always something new to try! As for temporary tattoos I go to ABA (air brush body art), the ink seems nice, and it was highly recommended on airbrush tattoo forums. The other plus, is it's much less expensive than other inks. If you're just starting out with airbrush tattoos, I'd recommend getting some cosmetic shimmer. You can wait on getting additional airbrushes or color change systems and use color shimmer, or as I call it "color shine". The cosmetic powder sticks to the tattoo, to add color, not great for boys, but they tend to go for black anyway. Don't go crazy with the shimmer- you can use multi colors and buff it in with a cosmetic brush so you still see black on the edges.

I have a question... can you use them with sponges too? Say you wanted to do a whole beach scene and blend the colors. Or are these pretty much just for use with brushes?

Hmm... not really. They are inks... think of something like india ink. You COULD blend them in the palette to get colours you want, but blending on the skin would be harder. You could do it along edges to create shading by wetting the base colour again with the alcohol.

As it is alcohol activated it dries FAST.

Airbrushing it would allow some blending...

Thanks Shannon. Oh, by the way, I ended up making like 7 different eyebrow animals, including the two you showed me. Not one kid got one! I am so sick of themed parties where kids NEVER want the themes. But, I'm glad I have them anyway. I'm sure I'll find a use for them.

I have the solid temptu but TBH don't use them much. i did a bunch of fake wounds for a crew of sailors going as pirates and it sort of blended ok with fingertips to bruise the edges...
