PPF event wants to add balloon twisting

I would post this in balloon twisting section, but it seems no one posts there anymore.

So my local "big" city has Ol' timey days coming up August 1st.  I've gone in the past with my kids and it's huge! They shut down Main Street for two days!
Anyway the event organizer saw me painting and twisting at a different event, not a PPF event.
She wants me there!   Since it's a free event it would be PPF, but they are supplying a 12x12 tent, two line mangers, advertising, and NO other facepainting allowed!
They had free facepainting in the past by them, I always skipped it with my kids, I swear they were using lotion!
She said the kids liked the face painting but she was not impressed by the local teen helpers.  Plus I guess there was some inappropriate facepainting and teens using "colorful" language around the kids
She asked if I could also sell some balloon twisting as well, but I never sold balloons at PPF events...
What would you charge?
I can twist: 3 different hats, swords, light sabers, 2 different princess wands, aliens-that can double as hats, simple animals, fairy wings, bracelets, flowers, roses, princess and mermaids, and beer mugs which would be root beer for the kids.  Thanks!

You will have to set your rate on the crowd.

For the past 6 months or so my partner and I have been twisting for tips. We literally had people putting their pocket change in the tip jar and expecting a balloon. That is aggravating! It is especially aggravating when you have people standing in line who are willing to pay for face paint.

Over the weekend we decided to start charging per balloon. It's $1 per balloon used in the sculpture. It worked out really well! We had no arguments or complaints and we finally made some $$$ off the balloons. We also sell the yo-yo balloons for $1.

That is something I am going to be considering since I just did start charging per balloon. Perfecting the ballooning will probably be my off season project. For now I will just talk to the kids to see what they want.

I just don't know how I want to work this yet since face painting is my cash cow and I twist in between faces.

Are you taking someone with you? It sounds like it could be busy enough to make soing both on your own difficult.

I'm taking my cousin who I Just started to teach face painting to. She's mastered butterfly and tiger and ninja turtle. She knows how to lay down base colors, like for spiderman, and then I finish the line work if we get super busy. The two line managers that are going to be ol'timey charters with stories and inline activities for the kids. Last year the one manager did a story, scary face contest, silly face contest, statue the longest contest and so on. They then gave out stickers or dollar store toys like you would get for birthday treat bags. Every kid walked away with something.
