mermaid for a play

Hi All,

I've been asked to do some theatre painting by a director. I've been looking for pictures of mermaids, but haven't really found anything that stands out and this being my first play, not sure what to be looking for.... I suppose fine details aren't that important.

Any and all help/suggestions/pictures would be greatly appreciated.

just do pretty with shell and pearl crown - I think your right the link you posted may not be the right road to travel down

Isn't there an Interferenze that is a bronzy-gold that shines green? Verdi Green maybe? It would give a lovely sheen to the skin, then do more beauty makeup, like rosy cheeks, red lips, and lined eyes. And I like the idea of pearls and shells to make pretty body jewlery.

Maybe you could meet with the costume designer so what you do goes along with what they have in mind.

Nick Herrera in FL just did some gorgeous ethereal mermaids and Rachel DeBoer in Hawaii did some mermaids a little time ago..... if you are on facebook you should "friend" these 2 artists.
