okay! So..I've only been buying solids...now I'm thinking of getting some one strokes...
would you recommend buying pre made ones..or make it myself?
what is your FAVORITE one stroke and what do u use it for? (so I get the ideas before buying it =D)
how many one strokes do you keep/bring for your gigs?
Thanks everyone!

I have a laptop case of one-strokes. The ones I seem to use most at the moment is the metallic white-metallic dark blue for "Frozen" crowns with snowflakes & teardrops added in white. (With eye makeup & lipstick in the same colors). Red & white (for roses) and greens & yellow (dragons, snakes, stems & leaves on the roses). I started with loving the prisma cakes as they were easy for me to learn with, but now I mostly make/refill my own. Hope that helps!

Tasha,

I like to keep two pre-made rainbow cakes, a pastel split, and a neon split in my cake. The rest of my cakes I make myself. I do them in themes. For example, I have a pink, purple, blue, and green cake that have varying shades of each color.

I also have a cake that has black, red, and white mixed in that I use for Spiderman.

Actually, the only cakes I take to a gig that aren't split are a solid black and white.

I rarely use one solid color because I find that varying the shades gives the design more depth and dimension. Smile

If you have a bunch of solids I recommend making your own.  I go online and find a split I would like, then use similar colors and make wormies, then smash them flat once you have the colors you like.

Here in a dry climate, it sits on my windowsill overnight.
If you are in a humid area, I would set in in an oven that's nearly cooled overnight.
