Hi I'm having a black light pool party for my daughters 16th day. Is there any paint I can use that is reactive to the lights? I didn't want to use playtex. Thank you J

Dear Jcm408:
Most "water proof" or "water resistant" paint does not hold up in a chlorine or bromine pool.
Any of the face paints marked "neon" by Wolfe, TAG, Diamond F/X (available in the Face Paint Forum Shop in the colourful rectangle above) will react to UV light.
Will the guests be swimming after being painted?  Another option could be Glitter Tattoos with UV reactive glitter.
I have no idea about "Playtex" paint.  It has been my understanding that Playtex makes undergarments and tampons.
Where are you from?  Go into your Profile, above and type in your general location and it will be easier for a local face painter give you local advice.

Cirque du Soleil uses oil-based cream for their underwater performances. I have no idea if there are UV creams.

Aside for airbrush inks there is no UV reactive face and body painting makeup that will withstand swimming. Hire an airbrush artist for cool fun tattoos that will glow. It will be so worth it for what you want and for her age group. Sometimes DIY is not better.

Otherwise for UV art that is not water resistant I'd get a Kryolan Dayglow palette or a Wolfe Neon palette.

HI JCM, is a brand new paint that is awesome for pool party because is water prof, is call DIPs you can find it in JetPaint, this paint is not neon color that can show in the dark light. Visit the Jet Paint for a video of how the Dips works.

I hope this helps.

Happy painting.

DIPS is water resistant. It dissolves in chlorine and bromine. I experimented with it this summer.

Have you thought about UV reactive glitter tattoos?

DIPS will hold up in swimming pool water - not perfect pretty dang good. I wore it thru 3 hot tubs and four swimming pool trips and it held up very well. So far my crew has used it quite a bit and will use more this summer.

But if you want UV reactive pool art best bet is airbrush. Second is glitter tats.
