Choosing a web address
justaddglitter.com is taken -- someone started a wordpress blog there in April but never added any actual entries.
So I'm torn between justaddglitter.net or justaddglitternj.com
just-add-glitter.com is available but that seems to tricky/complicated.
Any suggestions?

Re: Choosing a web address
I just looked at godaddy.com It appears that justadglitter.com is available. Use one d in stead of two in add
Re: Choosing a web address
I think "glitter fabulous" or even "glittered up" would still tie into your business name.
Re: Choosing a web address
I'd strongly advise against misspelling your web address just to get the name. You'll forever be clarifying it. Also, did you verify your business name isn't already registered (not the website, the actual business name)? If it is, you might want to pick a different one.
Re: Choosing a web address
Of the choices you mentioned - go with justaddglitter.net BUT I think not having the .com is a huge disadvantage (especially if someone else has it) so you may want to consider changing the name of your company if you haven’t already purchased business cards, business license, etc.
Re: Choosing a web address
Just Add Glitter as a business name is not taken in the state of NJ. I polled 45 moms in my area and 44 said to go with justaddglitternj.com and only 1 voted for justaddglitter.net!

Re: Choosing a web address
I had bumblebeesfl.com and had many issues with people trying to find it or what not. Why? I don't know. But I recently changed to bumblebeesfacepainting.com and I've had a better response ever since.
Re: Choosing a web address
You need to go with something simple that everyone can remember when they type it in a web search, it should not be confusing as in misspelled words. Gilded Cat is right. I bought the .com, .net and .org so no one else could have it just in case there was someone trying to use the name with the .net or org. I liked many names that were already in use but I chose to wait and re-think my name for a long time. I am so glad that I did.

Re: Choosing a web address
I do hope that these 45 moms that you polled owns a business and are not just moms. Do they have any business or marketing experience?vedahanks wrote:Just Add Glitter as a business name is not taken in the state of NJ.
