This is the premise of "Tag You're It:" The person before you on the list sends you a PM telling you what they want you to paint...and you have two days to come up with it and post it.

We have three teams.
~ When you are done your painting, tag the next person in your team
~IF you want to play, just add your name to the bottom to one of the teams list (you don't have to ask to join) then repost the list with your name added.
~When you are tagged, you have 2 days to complete your design...if we don't hear from you, it goes to the next person on the list. (Your turn is forfeited and if you want to try again, you need to put your name on the bottom of one of the lists.)
~When you complete your tag, remove your name from the list, PM the next person on the list with their assignment; you should also put the info in the thread so others know who's been tagged and what they are to paint.)

Please post your name as it appears under your avatar...if you shorten it, especially if you are new, by the time we get to your name we may not be able to find you on the memberlist if it is not EXACT!

Yeah, I don't know how the list keeps getting screwed up. My name has been removed from the list TWICE. That's why I posted it again.

I was tagged with "history." here is what i came up with:



now an explanation...I painted a celtic inspired tree of life inside a circle, with a background or umbra style rings of color. why? when i think of history i think of origins, geneology, and time, ant the circular movement thereof. I painted a tree as a reference to the "family tree" ( a family history, and while in a celtic tree of life the branches are entwined with the roots, i think the connection to the roots is evident in the trunk. I the rings of umbra style color are a refence to the tree rings, which as you all may know show how long and through what a tree has lived...everything from whether patterns, to visitors, etc can be found evidenced in the rings of a tree...so a personal history. and the circle is a refence to time, past present future, and the circular movement thereof...history repeats itself. the words on the outer ring also are shaped in the ring in reference to the numerals on a clock face, and the words themselves are what i thought of while i was painting the piece.
