Metina's Dippy Pot - Page 3 Empty Re: Metina's Dippy Pot

Post by skjfunny Fri Jan 06, 2012 4:05 pm

I read one of the first threads on Metina's dipping pots and WOW this truly reflected in our work. We've been doing it for a while. Our 3 painters were over joyed with their pots of black and white.
Warning, we found the stackable bead containers are of a brittle material and had three crack in our kits.
Bare Minerals makeup users will find their eyeshadow & small blush contains are sturdy and perfect size.
Thank you so much for this little idea that certainly plays big on jobs! sunny

Yes! I agree skj! I just added silver & gold (Mehron powder w/Mehron mixing liquid) dippy pots to my kit. The glitter jars work well, also--

anniel, do you mean you've mixed it up ahead of time, and just keep it like that? Ready to go? How long would it last for?
I love their silver and gold and love the idea of pre-making it and always having it ready!

I made gold and silver dippy pots as well... I used gold and silver paint and added some metallic powder and some boiling water, just as we do with the black and white. They're fantastic for adding dots and some highlights to designs, especially the masks Smile

Ok so I tried a dippy pot, followed Metina's instructions... and it seems I have to add water to it every time I want to use it. It VERY quickly goes back to a too-thick texture, kind of like soft butter. Every time. Thoughts??

those would be great Erica. but i sell Avon, and they have a small jar with black and a couple other colors that have cake eye liner in it that you wet. i am going to use those jars. I will try and take a picture sometime this week. or any very small eye cream jar (that was mentioned above) would work too! Haven't tried it yet. had forgot about it until you guys posted again recently on here... thanks for that!!!!
