WOW, did anyone else see that Miley Cyrus "twerking" video?

WHAT is this world coming to? I was reading about the uproar of the act Miley Cyrus did at the music awards, on Yahoo and MSN today. Even all the celebrities (who are used to a LOT of stuff) were disgusted by it. Out of curiosity I watched her whole act on You Tube (quickly removed later today due to "copyright"..yeah right). I'm no prude but was shocked and disgusted at just how bad it was. She was almost in underwear and she was grabbing her crotch a million times and booty popping and grinding on the other singers, with her tongue way out, doing all kinds of sexual things in her act, including using one of those big foam "finger gloves" like at sports stadiums, to suggest all kinds of sexual things and dragging it from her butt to her front, then grabbing herself with it. It was truly disgusting and I realized what the uproar was about. She was like some slut and it was like watching it in a strip joint or something. I'm soooo glad my daughter is grown and I don't have a teenage girl that once saw her as an "idol". Geez...when does all this stuff stop in our society? BTW, at the end, her "mommy and daddy" were "so proud", they stood up and cheered for her and LOOKED proud. God!!!!!!! No wonder, that father of hers is practically pimping her!!! Did anyone else see it before they removed it?

it scared me and I only saw pictures from it.

ugh, I saw the whole disgusting thing...the poor girl has no sense of privacy. to be hones,i saw the signs years ago, when she was an eithgrader dating a 19 yearold.... not cute at all....but everybody else was focused on Lindsay.

my final thoughts are:thank goodness my kids are toddlers...hopefully she'll be long gone by then.for now, I just keep the songs limited to "wheels on the bus go round and round".

I saw on the VMA's willow smith looking outraged.....yeah, even this little punk rocker with a shaved head was looking away in shock.lol, what a joke.........

my main thoughts throughout it all was-didn't they have any rehearsals?

surely somebody with common sense saw this being practiced before the real event??????why didn't anybody stop it before it went live?

I'm telling my kids they don't need a hero.
Just be nice to others and help if help is needed. Take good care of your body and soul, and LIVE your life because you only have one.
In that way they're their own hero.

Batman should be everyone's hero.

but if you can't have batman, I think someone in their life should be it.

I haven't even watched it, the clip I saw was enough. Down right foul, and by no means am I a prude either. And imagine when they thought Brittney Spears dancing in a shear fabric scantily clad outfit, and dancing with a snake was outrageous. This blows that out of the water. I think it is best for kids to have no celebrity role models, and go right to everyday real life heroes... like our EMT's, Nurses, Military Personnel or how about just anyone who selflessly helps others.

Or Batman of course.

I agree Eva. Kid's should look to the heros in real life. I never had posters up during my teenage years, even then I thought it was dumb to idolize celebrities. They're just people with fame and money, doesn't make them better than the real heros in everyday life!
