Hello from Florida!

One Christmas, when I was 26 years old, we had two children and not a lot of money for gifts. Art was inspiring to me, but I never thought I could draw or paint. My mother had let me borrow a book of art by Norman Rockwell. Looking at some of sketch art, I decided to give it a try. Needless to say, God provided and I gave my parents, in-laws and siblings drawings inspired by Mr. Rockwell to each of them for Christmas. Over the next few years drawing progressed to painting, woodworking, murals and finally face painting. I was at a birthday party at my cousin's house, she hired a clown that had a pony and she did balloon twisting and face painting. I asked her about the paints, (normally I'm very shy but I was intrigued)she told me they were "Snazaroo". I bought some paints and started practicing on my youngest son and daughter and I haven't stopped....since 2004. I love it! I still paint murals and do some occasional woodworking, but face painting is my favorite creative outlet. The look on the children's faces after I paint them is priceless.

Welcome Christy! Where are you in Central FL? I am in Wesley Chapel (just NE of Tampa off the I-75 corridor!

Your sound multi talented....woodworking too?? wow!

I agree the kids amazement in the "reveal" moment is part of what makes it the best work in the world!!!
