Selling all of my fp stuff :(

I know it's been a while since I've been on the forum, and I miss you guys. I just haven't had any time to come on here (or to paint, sadly) because I've been dealing with health issues as well as trying to finish my undergrad degree.

The good news is that after years of what felt like a constant struggle, I've finally finished my bachelor's degree . My graduation is this Saturday, and honestly, it's a bit surreal.

The bad news is that my health problems have gotten so bad that I have to have extensive surgery this summer. I will be out of commission from June to August, and then I will (hopefully) be starting an intensive Masters program in September.

Because of the type of surgery I am having, I will be unable to perform the repetitive basic movements of face painting(lifting my arms, twisting my torso, etc.) for several months. My doctor thinks that I will be okay in academia after August, but he thinks that I should refrain from face painting for quite some time. So, sadly, I am closing my business.

Rather than let my paints rot away in storage until I can use them again, I've decided to sell my entire kit. I would like to sell everything together, but I am willing to split stuff up.

I still have the practice head. It was one of the first things asked about. I gave the individual who asked a price, but they've yet to notify me whether or not they want it. Out of respect for them and the forum tradition of first come, first serve, I will give them another day to reply. After that, the next individual who asked about it will have the opportunity to purchase it. So far about five people have asked, so it will probably be gone soon.

I also still have the jewels and the glitter gel. They are in pretty much the same situation as the practice head. I will also give the person who asked about them another day.

The other items in that kind of situation are the brown/light brown split, the black, and the silver split palette.

As for the sponges, I've decided to split them up. I am selling the halves 4/$1 or 25/$5. There are 107 left (I found another stash ). There are also 6 whole sponges. you can make an offer on them, or if you want, you can just choose to add them uncut to a group of halves.

I also have the three small splits that I made. They are in stackable containers (I do have more containers for that stack that I will throw in)

Finally, I have a group of pieces of paradise paints (1/2 a wild orchid, a few slivers of dark purple, 2/3 a light green, 1/4 a lime green, 1/2 a teal,1/4 of a mango, about 1/3 of a black, and about 1/4 of a red.) Some of them are in the same container. These are great for making splits. Paradise is extremely easy to mold. If you want them for that purpose, I will throw in the split making tools and an empty dfx container that I found.

PPS, I did not realize that I took this picture with a box of garage sale destined stuff in the background . As you can probably tell, I am horrible at cameras. Though I must be learning, because I finally realized that I had to save the images in their resized form on photobucket for them to be smaller here. Anyways, please don't zoom in too closely on the mess.

pjhamel, sorry to hear of your health issues, but hooray for your education. I wish you all the best in the future and hopefully one day you will get the chance to persue face painting again, even if just for fun. Peace and Love

pjhamel - So sorry to hear about your health issues. You are young and that will make a difference in fighting whatever is thrown at you! And goodness, graduating from college, too! Always find that new window that's been opened for you and there really is a silver lining in every storm cloud. I wish you all the best!

Yes, I have gotten all of the pms. I just haven't had time to reply to everyone. Things have been hectic around here between my internship, graduation, medical tests, doctor's appointments, lawyer's appointments (thinking about suing my old doctor for neglect, because she allowed my condition to deteriorate this far). Needless to say, I have been extremely busy.

As of right now, everything is gone except about 75 sponges. I am going to go through my pms this weekend and message the first few people who had asked about them. If they decide that they don't want them, I will continue moving down the list.

I do apologize for the lack of response. I just haven't had any time to read all of the messages in my inbox.
