white paint-best brand?
Always the problem with the white paint.. snazaroo and kryolan are too transparent I think and never really stay that white on top of other colors even when blended thick- got some better suggestions?

Re: white paint-best brand?
Depends what you are doing.
Personally, Snazaroo and Kryolan are my best bases for faces. Fardel cream as a base for body painting.
I get a nice sold coverage with all of them (technique is everything )
For line work I am using Wolfe. I have old stock - in the black pots, which I have to say works better than the new stuff in in clear stackable containers.

I'm with Shannon - I LOVE my kryolan for bases. For line work, Wolfe. Hands down.
When Wolfe isn't available (b/c I'm using my mini kit or something) I'll use TAG.

Wolfe or DFX for line work (if you can't get your hands on Wolfe)
Paradise or Snaz white is what I use for bases

Wolfe here for line work, too, though I still have to get the technique down for having it look opaque over darker colours. Sigh.
For bases, I favour Snaz or Superstar white, though I've heard very good things about Paradise. I do have a TAG pearl white that I adore, and I want to try out the Cameleon white too, as I've heard a few happy opinions on that.

Re: white paint-best brand?
I guess I just suck at getting the right amount of water when I do the base for a skull or something, it's never that even like it is in the example pictures.. and I have been doing this for about 10 years^^ I'll try wolfe like so many recommended but I guess I just have to use less water with snaz:) Unfortunately I have to pay so much for paints considering the shipping.. The only brands you can get here at stores are snaz and a really sucky brand with a joker on it whatever it's called..something german:) like the price on snaz instead of kryolan, don't know how it's everywhere else but in Sweden Kryolan is almost double the cost. thank you all!
Re: white paint-best brand?
I think the joker-face brand is Eulenspiegel? I've never used them but I've heard mixed reviews. And as for Kryolan, I think that stuff's expensive everywhere, especially the Interferenz colours!

Wolfe White and Black for linework.
I am enjoying my starblends white for bases at the moment.

Re: white paint-best brand?
Hmmm I wish I could figure out how to get a good solid base with my starblends....do you use the smoothie blenders Melinda?
Re: white paint-best brand?
Kept to the base colors mostly from snaz, tried gold and silver(which I didnt care for much) but never tried any more sparklies/metallic colors from any other brand so I see from your comments that I have a lot to learn in ths business as to what colors and brands are out there
Re: white paint-best brand?
For a base with Snaz, I squirt my cake with my spritzer and wait a few seconds, so that a lot of the paint gets activated. Then I pick it up with my dry sponge, and I dab, dab, dab, stipple, stipple, stipple, ... It gives a nice, smooth and opaque finish that way.
For linework I use PartyXplosion, which is waxier I believe.

Re: white paint-best brand?
The Joker- face is Eulenspiegel, good for base and good to remove. But for linework, you need a other brand. I like TAG, DFX and Cameleon. You can mix a liquid white or black in a small pot with demineralized water. I works fine and you can use the rest of colour from an empty pot. I make crumbles with less water and work it together with the end of a teaspoon.
Re: white paint-best brand?
Went to Disney world today and I saw them using grimas, the black line work looks opaque but I was thinking could be better than the strong bright from wolfe, white line work looks like wolfe too.
Re: white paint-best brand?
I like DFX, I tried black wolfe, but it seems a bit thick for me. I prefer DFX.
