Thank you Lynne, that stinks that you can't open mine wonder if most people have that problem with the site. Probably time to make some changes anyway.

Your pics are beautiful Vinnie, can I just say I loved the Hello Kitty Fairy. I get stuck making the mask and the kitty face on the cheek with rainbow , never thought about making her a fairy. Smile

Is my site showing ok on mobile? I know my hubby said he was careful to format it so it would but I haven't had a chance to look since my ipod got stolen. Sad

P.S. never have a stranger in your home for painting...some people just have sticky fingers!

Kayla... just noticed something on your website! You must have changed your prices recently! Wink

Face Painting:

$80 per hour; there is a one hour minimum. This includes Parties, Business events, dances, sporting events, reunions, etc.

If the event is outside of my county a traveling fee will occur.

Please give me a estimate of the amount of children and/or adults being painted when contacting me. This information will help determine the amount of time needed and the designs being offered.

Non-profits & Charities:

Although I can't do events for free, it may be possible to get a discounted price rather than the full $70.

I have a question to ask you guys....

I personally love my own website and love updating it. It sooooo reflects me and the way I see the world.

BUT...

Do you think I have too much animation going on? I have lots of people tell me they like it... but maybe they are only being nice to save face. I am not, never have been and never will be a serious type person.... nor do I have much business sense most of the time... so that is why my website is almost child-like to me. Do you think this really repels customers who are looking for face painting? I feel it most likely does not... but I'd like honest feedback from my peers.

Personally, I find all the animations and sparkles quite distracting. You also have a lot of text on your site, which is very hard to focus on when there's sooo many other things going on!

I think the best combination to keep your clients interested and browsing your site would be short, to-the-point text and big vibrant images of your work. Maybe a bit of sparkly eye-candy here and there, but most people appreciate a bit of subtlety.

Two cents from a graphic designer! Smile

I get that from a graphic designer's pov... but as a person looking to hire a face painter to add fun to their event is the opinion I'm looking for.

I have tweaked the wording over the years because hiring face painters was and still is so foreign to our area that people have no inkling about what we do, what we use, what we offer or what any of it is about.... perhaps I need to tweak it some more. I don't like to read a lot on web sites myself... so, good point!

And when I log on to sites that don't stimulate me, I know how bored I get....very quickly and very easily bored to the point that I won't read the text at all. However, when I log on to a site that is bright and colorful and a visual treat, I stay longer and read more.... but that's me.

Miss Ronnie I thought it was OK for the first page with the animations but when you get to the parts that you need to read. I found it distracting.

I have never had a problem getting into Jody Rifes website - I suck at monsters so I often look to you for how on earth -I still havent got them mouths and noses get me, working on shading them too Aargh they are my bane. So I will have to keep stalking um I mean browsing for a while. But thought you might want to know it has been working. I have been to your website I would say about 12 times in the last 8 months. (I Love your stuff!! all of it not just the monsters)

my website that I reall need to update but have been busy is:

http://suejuddfacepaintingandbodyart.com/#

and I was on a PC but I didn't have a problem getting into anyones.

I like your page better now Miss Ronnie. It lokks way better.

Thanks Jody, I will now have to keep looking in for a the new monster - lol.

I really do suck at monsters - I think is because I have more girls 3 of them, and the few times my boy has ever let me paint him It is still about getting a basic pirate, T rex for my web site etc. So less opportunity to try stuff out there, I think I have only ever painted him mabye 8 times and he used to be scared of monsters run to the shower and scream get it off. True story.

I am still holding out hope for my youngest asking for monsters, even in pink -ah such is life with children.
