your favorite thing / design to paint

I am just curious, what is your favorite thing to paint?
Do you have a preference? Or not???
Which design are you most comfortable with?

As I speak for myself, as a newbie, I prefer doing butterfly's and tigers.
To be honest, those are also the designs I am most comfortable with.

How is that in your case?

I love doing detailed things, and curls and swirls and flowers.

And let me think... There was another thing.......

I still like butterflys but not the rainbow cake ones e.g. pink, purple, blue as well as Tigers and horses/unicorns
I also like doing tribal eye designs but get more call for abstracy type ones (like on my avatar) which I used to enjoy but am so over now.

With the boys I like painting batman but I am over spiderman. And I still love dragons most of the time. anyone wanting ben 10 anything I find tedious can't explain why - I love transformers too but not much call for it lately if another movie comes out I am sure it will pick up again.
I also still like vampires and Lions

I am completley over painting - I love 1D as in the band one direction. As I find what ever Idea people have with this is 95% of the time going to be rubbish e.g. I want a butterfly and once you have done it can you paint I love heart 1 D on one wing. Now had they told me from the start we could have worked on something other than a lobsided butterfly that would have looked better but it always seems to be an after thought. and of course the love heart is never "big enough"as they clearly love them more than the last 1 d lover.and what ever the last person had the next 1 D fan has to be the same but even bigger! the girls love it.. but all I can think is: really! and wonder if I was ever like this as a pre teen/teen

I like it best when they say, do whatever you want, but make is scary/pretty. That's my favourite

I like Tigers and I love painting flowers. Also Skeleton faces

I'm really happy when kids choose tigers or butterflies because they always look good and get a great reaction. The think I like to play with the most is roses and flower clusters. They are so pretty when I'm done...but in Utah no one shows very much skin so I hardly have a chance to do them on clients. Now that I've taken Marcela's class and have learned how to use tiny flowers on masks and such, I'm looking forward to adding them to my board next season.

I love making a skeleton face too, just because it makes the kid/adult so hard to recognize so quickly.

yesterday I had my first really big gig ( 8 hours of painting) and it was a Birthdayparty of a woman turning 60 and still going strong! All people invited were treated to whatever painting they wanted, and because they were all adults i got to paint a lot of stuff i usually don't paint....and i loved it! I think i also fell in love with the liquid bling secret santa gave me, it was such a big hit.

I love doing tigers and butterflies mostly because they always look great & even the super-fast versions have big impact. I also love doing snakes & redback spiders. Hate spiderman. I painted close to 300 kids (that's a lot for me) over the last two days and talked all the spiderman requests into having a 'really awesome redback spider' (so glad kids are easily re-directed with a bit of enthusiasm, lol.) WHY is it that most of the kids asking for spiderman are the really bratty ones? Does anybody know?

i love painting anything with flowers and swirls on it, so I try to sneak flowers onto butterflies and tigers wheneve r possible, hehe

i love blood and gore faces, i guess thats from working halloween horror nights for so many years. but i also love simple masks

I usually paint my favourite design on my own face, (this week it was a little butterfly next to my eye with little flower clusters around it), because then heaps of girls ask for 'exactly the same as your one!'

The thing that annoys me is when the kid asks for something nice and simple like a spider or a rainbow, but then the parents talk them into something really complicated. Grrrr.

I agree with most of you guys...I love it when they let me choose! Then I can just paint whatever I feel like, usually flowers and swirls I also love painting dragons.

For Girls, I love flowers and swirls , or pretty eye designs ...I also like painting fish and ocean type scenes..For Boys, I love doing skulls...they always love the look so much. I think spider man is cute but its not my fav. to paint...hard to get the kid to hold still enough to do good lines sometimes.

I hate...no, loathe, Spiderman. I actually cringe inside when it is requested. I think that's because it's always the dang squirmey ones that want it and they don't care that straight lines are impossible on a moving target.

I love anything where I can go a little bit beyond with creativity, like butterflies, faeries, flowers and swirls.

Tribals still intimidate me... why, I'm not sure, because I'm actually pretty good with them.

I love tigers and butterflies. They get the biggest reaction from both parents and kids. I am starting to get better at one strokes and I like the effects I can get, but it seems like a sponge double loaded with metallic pink and purple gets a huge "Wow!" every time.

I love bling masks. I still love butterflies and tigers because, like everyone else, the kids love them and they draw more people to the booth when others see them. I also love anything that allows me to use GLITTER!

I think bling mask and swirly eye designs because you have such free range as to where you can go with them, from the sublime to the completely over the top ornate glam looks..

My favorite? Well that's EYEDESIGNS with lots of curls and swirls! and some bling! that makes me happy!!!

My favorite would have to be the 1 stroke crowns + gem cluster.
Parents are always amazed by the beauty and how fast they are.
