Zebra Tutorial
Pretty shabby film work, but you can get the idea.

Re: Zebra Tutorial
I love it I like that you use one stroke face paint for out lines! I defiantly try it Thank you for sharing!!!
Re: Zebra Tutorial
The other thing about the tutorial video that was great was your CLIENT!!! Adorable! Priceless! Twitchy! Was she singing during the whole face painting? That seemed so real to me. What was awe inspiring forme is how you pulled off a perfectly professional face paint on a moving target.
I subscribed to your YouTube channel because of this video.
Thank you, Whitney!

Re: Zebra Tutorial
You guys are great! Thanks for the support. I am going to try my hand at making some more. Hopefully without any hair in the shot next time. Lol!
Re: Zebra Tutorial
Oh and Ronnie, I love my Majestics, I am just as protective of them as I am of my babies. Lol!
Re: Zebra Tutorial
The model is my 2 year old daughter and believe it or not, that was really still for her. I bribed her with candy to get her to do that well. She likes getting painted, she's just too busy to sit for it.
Re: Zebra Tutorial
so what she was saying all the time in the video was "mama can i get the candy yet?"
I love it, subscribed too - do make more, your model is really great, and so is the design.

Re: Zebra Tutorial
Lol! That's exactly what she was saying. I kept telling her you have to sit still or you won't get candy.
Re: Zebra Tutorial
Whitney -
I bribe with iPad or Sesame Street time when desperate.
As in, you can watch "Elmo goes to the fire station" after mommy's done figuring out a new design for her portfolio.
In my house, technology trumps chocolate.
Thank G-d nobody's in the teenaged years (yet.)

Re: Zebra Tutorial
Brilliant. Your little girl is adorable, but it's not easy is it? I think you did a fabulous job Whitney. The one stroke outline is great. Might have to make a black/grey/white for zebras and kitty cats.
Re: Zebra Tutorial

Re: Zebra Tutorial
Dear Whiney:
I do portraiture from actual sittings, and I try to avoid using only photographs. When it comes to doing small children, they absolutely cannot sit still. I mounted my husband's laptop on a tripod and place the screen up high behind my shoulder so the child's gaze is up high.
I have listened to a lifetime of Blue's Clues this way.
