Diamond FX/Snazaroo Cases Empty Diamond FX/Snazaroo Cases

Post by Erica's Funny Faces Fri Nov 16, 2012 1:03 pm

Anyone know where I can get the plastic cases and foam inserts for Diamond FX and Snazaroo at a decent price? I looked in the forum shop but I don't see the empty cases for sale anywhere...right now I only have one case and I had to take the insert out to fit more cakes but now they just slide around in there. Is there a better method that anyone can share?

Now how did I miss that? lol. Thanks Suzy! Are there any cases that can hold more than 12-18ml cakes? I have about 30 now...I like to keep the foam in because I don't like them to move around the case. I kinda copied what Lisa Joy Young does with her paints (no foam divider, caps off and double stacked) but that doesn't work well because the paints got dirty, ick! I want to be able to keep the lids on and fit all my paints in preferrably 1 case...any thoughts?

If anyone has any USED cases they don't have use for I would possibly be interested in that as well...

Years ago I got One from sillyfarm, the snaz fit in the foam so tightly that lids could not be put on. I am not sure if the dfx/ tag is the same.

Why not grab an empty laptop case from the forum shop, then cut a foam piece to suit? some people use Velcro sticky dots to keep them in place, or magnets. I LOVE my laptop cases, super hard wearing and super easy to clean!

Lala, did the Black latch pieces last on your case? Mine popped out and were lost early on, so now I have to band it closed.

I got my case from jestpaint and they dont have latches...they just snap shut tight. Different case I suppose, I like them.

Just use magnets or velcro to get them all in. You'll get a ton more in, they won't move around and you won't need the insert!

That's what I meant was the snaps, sorry bad description on my part. My snaps fell out after just a few months.

Hmmm I thought about that but it seems like I would have to leave the caps off and I tried that before, I don't like it. Maybe the case I have is different because mine will one hold more if I take the caps off and stack them. Taking the foam out doesnt allow me to fit more in the tray....only stacking. My case must be slightly smaller.

The ones Metina sells in the shop are super sturdy. DFX will fit with two layers (inserts on both sides).
I eventually went to the jewelry tray inserts. You get a ton more colors in a much smaller space. One of the compartments easily holds 32 grams (I actually put 40 grams of Paradise in a couple but that is the absolute max!)

Here is a whole thread, but if you don't like to leave your paints unlidded, this probably wouldn't suit you.
