Face paint vs Halloween makeup?
There's a makeup company gremlon or grafton or something like that. They have a lot of Halloween sets out around this time. It's like cream though not water activated face paints. Does anyone play around with this stuff?
The thing is Im just getting into facepaint but I like the more theatrical and full on Halloween faces and such. I always did have an interest in like special effects makeup and full face character looks (and it would be really cool to play with prosthetics and create character looks with that too but maybe some day) when I was younger and playing with face paints has got me really interested in it again. So I was just curious about this other stuff. Or what other makeup is out there for this kind of stuff. I love face painting and how extreme you can be as well as how vibrant the colors are but sometime not able to pull off a look how I want it cause I try to treat it like make up and it's not the same. Id like to play around with both. Any help with this?

Graftobian? They are a reputable cosmetic company that has been around a very long time.
They have a wide variety of product lines - regular cosmetics, theatrical cream (oil based) make-up, water activated (face paint) make-up, special effects products, airbrush make-up, etc.
Their catalogue is extensive... http://www.graftobian.com/
Just check out retailers of theatrical make-up supplies to see what other brands they carry... main brands that retail all the different types are Ben Nye, Kryolan, and Mehron. All are manufacturers and have large online catalogues...
Try using Google to research them and find storefront retailers in your area.

if you use those and want it to last, be sure to powder it when you are done with baby powder or their brand of setting powder

Holy crap Shannon... sorry off topic but I just wanted to say I saw your site and you are a phenomenal face painter. Wow wow wow.... You need to make Youtube tutorials showing you doing it Not that I could emulate it but I love watching exciting face paintings and make up jobs and yours are awesome. So much better than the designs in that Extreme Face Painting book I got by the Wolfe brothers.
Thanks for the info though
