Arty Cakes... Empty Arty Cakes...

Does anyone have a lot of these and therefore by any chance any color swatches? I'm considering purchasing Aussie Mermaid, possibly Ocean... but it's not always easy to tell the colors on screen. Any help appreciated Smile

I use the TAG splits... and have a bunch of examples of those if you would want them...

I've stayed away from them just cause I hear that they wear unevenly. Would tick me off if the middle color wore out before the others. Mad

I find no matter what type of one stroke or splitcake I use, it still wears in one color more then the rest. I just buy another cake and lay it on top or fill in the color with a replacement Wink

So far (knock on wood) I have not had it happen to my TAG one-strokes or the ones that I have made (I try to use same brand of paint when making them). Must be lucky I guess! Very Happy

I have a ton of one stroke cakes, 3 different brands and many homemade. The wear on some is different - mainly if pearls are mixed with regular colors...

That being said, I would still buy or make the ones I really like a lot... (Aussie Mermaid is one of my most popular one for tweenie girls and up eye designs.)

Oooh, Miss Ronnie, you might have hit nail on head about the pearls mixed with regular paints. That would make a difference in addition to different brands being mixed.
