I've used those yellow sponges before and quite honestly they don't compare with the fantasy world wide sponges I would advice you to invest in those instead. =)

those are the sponges I have bought at Michaels and they break down pretty quickly. I had origanally bought some there and they have lasted and were great, but I think they changed something and now they are too soft and crumble after a couple uses.

Do you find the gecko useful? I love geckos and always wanted one of those sponges but I use so many brushes I haven't bothered.

yes and no...i ALWAYS try to keep my brushes in groups, but once i start painting they get mixed up..but it keeps me from laying them down somewhere and rolling off to the ground!the lil toes are for lil brushes but can only hold like 2 brushes a foot...

Thanks!

I have a handtowel I put on my table and line my brushes up on that. It stops them rolling away, but it doesn't help me when I put my designated black detail brush down on the wrong part of the towel and can't find it. Maybe I need a gecko just for the black and white brushes!

Usually 3 of each. A #2, a #5 and a 1/2" flat for big tiger stripes and skull edges and things like that.

Oh, and sometimes a filbert, but I only have two of those, so that becomes a problem if I use it in my black, then need to do flower petals or something. Black water, ahoy. Yuck!
