Shimmer Powders Empty Shimmer Powders

At my last guild meeting, the demonstrator used shimmer powder with a brush as seen here. The demonstrator used the Golden Frost, but I was hoping for something more neutral such as the Diamond Frost or the Ultra Shimmer.

Anyone use this? Since the photo doesn't include the Diamond frost, I am unsure of which to get.

I was thinking this would be less messy than glitter jars or pouf bottles.

It does have it's drawbacks as it has to be used after the base coat is down, but before the line work.

I bought a lot of shimmer powders for tattoos, but I've never used them on the face. I have a beautiful sparkly gold and bronze, so I think it's a great idea to use them over face paint, especially tiger and leopard faces... I'll have to try it!

I got my mica powders here:
Satin and Pearl Mica
Sparkle Mica

On the site you listed, they're selling 30gram jars for $18.00... on the site I linked (WSP), the Sparkle Gold mica is $11.10 for 2oz... which is equivalent to 56 grams. The quality of the mica powder is great too from WSP. So I'd definitely recommend it. Smile

Here's a thread where I posted some pics of the WSP micas:

At the demo they used that powder brush, in the link, to dispense it. They just quickly brushed it over the face and turned the whole design shimmery. I liked the look a bit more than the glitter.

Those brushes do seem pretty cool. I wonder how much different it would be from just dipping a makeup brush into a pot of powder and brushing it on?
