Need some ideas!!

My wheels have been turning again and I'm working on a new idea, but I'm stumped to finish it up...

I want to make a little "passport" booklet for kids to get stamped through the summer. The main thing will be to spend $20 on balloons and/or face painting (one stamp per dollar) but I also want them to do 5 things (out of 10 options?) other than that. I'd like them to be somewhat beneficial for me but also just kind of fun things to do. Once they have the required stamps, they'll get a small prize (maybe a goodie bag or $5 gift card for toys r us or something) and they'll be entered into a draw that I'll do maybe once or twice a year for something bigger like a free party or bigger gift card.

Where I'm stumped is getting enough "other" things for them to do... I'd like about 10 of them, but I'm stuck around 6 or 7...
1. Send me a picture of "you with Perry Noia"
2. Write me a letter or draw a picture
3. Find me at two different events
4. Get mom or dad to mention me on twitter
5. Get mom or dad to post something on my facebook page
6. Bring a friend to see me at an event
7. Tell me a joke

??? other ideas??? something better than "tell me a joke?" I was really scraping on that one....

I want to try to partner up with some kid friendly businesses on this to get deals on gift cards and to put them out on the check out counters and stuff... I could probably fit a thanks page for businesses.

How about make up a little dance and song about face painting?

Post their painted face by you on facebook?

"Get mommy or daddy to book me for your birthday party"...

of course, the party is the ultimate goal... everyone that fills up a passport completely gets 10% off a party and the big prize would be either a free party or some other large prize. The plan with this is to develop the relationship with the kids, the customer loyalty... that stuff that makes them want to tell their friends that I'm not just "a clown" that did some face painting somewhere... but I"m THE clown... THEIR clown... you know?

~Design your own clown face (give them a blank "face" in the booklet)
~Tell me what creature you would most like to see me paint
~If you were an animal, what would it be? Show me how that animal moves.
~What costume could you create out of things in your own closet?

How abooout...

- Visit my website and find the hidden treasure! (hide a cute little graphic somewhere on your website)
- Show me something you coloured in my colouring book
- Tell me what you'd be named if you were a clown!

ooh... I like the idea of finding something on my website! ... maybe one of the answers to the little jokes in my FAQ page...

I love this marketing concept! To "brand" yourself. Co-oping with other kid friendly businesses is fantastic! You could put a "coupon" of theirs (for free) in your book in exchange for having the books available (next to an 8x10 framed photo of you) on their service counter? They get their info in a (non-competetive) business and everyone wins. Several years ago, there was a booth at a local craft or womans show selling "monster out" spray (or something like that) basically.....it was scented water in a spray bottle that would get rid of monsters ( i would go more with a generic theme like a be brave or dont be scared spray?) I could almost see your cute pic on the front of a bottle of spray tying into your tagline of "the scaredy clown" . these could be used in a number of ways...or even the cheap o containters of bubbles with a new label (yours) put over the colorful container with the same type of marketing/"brave" message....Brave Bubbles! Upsell maybe? ok..im rambling

I've tried using monster spray when I started clowning but couldn't find a way to incorporate it into my show. The general message of my shows is that when we sing a silly song about the things we are afraid of, they aren't so scary anymore. And one of the first things kids will ask me is "are you afraid of monsters?" and my answer is always the same, "you know the best thing about monsters? they aren't real!!"

What a great idea Perry!!! Did you finish putting this together this summer and try it out? How did it go? Or are you still working on it and in need of more ideas?
