Details/Rules/Prize
Please make sure to follow the rules, especially the ones highlighted in yellow. We will no longer be PM'ing folks to fix their entries. Thanks for your understanding!
Details: This Challenge for Upselling. You must submit three photos, one basic, one with more details and one that really zings. All from the same design. Basically showing a $5, $8 and $10 face(or whatever levels you charge) You can add stars, dots, glitter gel, gems ect..... We will be voting on the best upsell, not necessarily the design.
Ends Midnight March 31st, 2012 Pacific Time.
Prize is $50 in product from this forum shop(This is issued as a $50 product discount code towards an order as shipping costs are not included in the prize.)
Rule1: Must show 3 photos only of same design with added levels of upsell.
Rule 2: Please do not enter a design that is participating in another contest ANYWHERE ON THE INTERNET or enter your entry into another contest ANYWHERE ON THE INTERNET until this one is complete. Doing so will disqualify you.
Please ask questions under this thread.

Re: Details/Rules/Prize
You take a basic design that you could only sell for your lowest PPF amount and then add onto it to reach the next level and so on.
For instance, I make a quick one-stroke shark that I normally sell for $3 but I could add some little fish and some bubbles and water splashes and an outline and sell it for $5. Then, if I wanted to make it full face, I could add some blue for water, coral, seaweed, little crab and make it an $8.00 face.

Love this idea! I'll definitely enter this one. It would be super useful on my site, since I don't have anything that suggests what different levels I can do for PPF.
Re: Details/Rules/Prize
Oooh!! What a GREAT idea, Metina!!! Can't wait to see them all. Might have to make some time away from studying and actually participate in this one.

Great Idea, Metina! When I started, one of the 1st videos I saw on the net was Lisa Joy Young re: starting your business. She doesn't use books for large events & advises "...have 3 versions of each design." The size of your line determines which version you paint. This will be VERY instructive and FUN!!! Thanks again.
Re: Details/Rules/Prize
So, we don't have to submit a step by step for this challenge? is that right? I'm still a little confused....

Re: Details/Rules/Prize
Plus feel free to enter as many times as you like and build your own design board. You can also use these when you are explaining to customers what you can do so they can choose the level they want based on time and kids.
You have 12 kids for two hours, you get all the blinged out faces. You have 30 kids for two hours, they get all basic designs.

Re: Details/Rules/Prize
This sounds really fun! I believe I /might/ be able to make the deadline for this.
Re: Details/Rules/Prize
Here is a one stroke Mermaid Princess.
The first one is what I would suggest for a squirmy 3 year old.
The second design is what I would do for the $5 face.
The last design is the blinged out $8 design.
What I did NOT put in these designs is the glitter. Glitter doesn't photograph very well, so I omitted glitter for the purpose of showing the photographs.

Re: Details/Rules/Prize
Lisa, I have a question for you about the second mermaid photo--where do you buy the bling motif that's in the middle? I have heaps of gems, but I find myself not liking the large ones at all, and wanting more intricate designs like I see sometimes to dress up a princess face.
Re: Details/Rules/Prize
Dear lizdexia:
I bought the big bling at WalMart in the states, the last time I went home to visit my family in Detroit. They were clearing out all these sticky jewels from their scrapbooking area. It was in a big jumble in a box. I bought some that looked like studs that might appear on leather. When I got them home, I was NOT as impressed with them as I was initially. Then, when Christmas parties happened, those silver and red studs made the perfect Christmas ornaments on Christmas trees painted on faces.
Also, I believe Squiggles creates her own jewel clusters. There is a thread somewhere regarding this issue. I have a feeling that I am going to be creating my own clusters, as this will give me an outlet to feed my addiction to bling.
I usually go to dollar stores. I have all my bling sorted out by color.
Happy Blinging!

Re: Details/Rules/Prize
Also, the Suzy Sparkles liquid bling is amazing in person in the last photograph. It doesn't show how shimmery and it really makes a design POP!
THANK GOD FOR SUZY SPARKLES!

Re: Details/Rules/Prize
Lisa, it's addicting! I probably have more gem clusters than I will ever use but I can't stop making them LOL! I am doing lots of festivals so I'm sure they'll get used eventually
Tiger Upsell
I have noticed that bling really does not show up very well in photos. This is why I never bought the bling gel until I saw it in person. It makes a HUGE difference in person but just really doesn't show up well, not even the bling gems, not sure why. So, the first I have is a Tiger Basic, added line work, more line and bling.
