Here are examples of mica powders...
For those that are curious, here are a couple of pics of the mica powders on top of paint...
1.Kryolan interferenze bronze with Bronze Goddess powder on top.
2. Snazaroo sparkle orange with Tangerine Dream powder on top.
3.Mehron lavender(I think!) with Grape powder on top.
4.Wolfe lightblue/metallic blue mix with Dancing Peacock on top.
5.Wolfe lime green with Spring Break powder on top.
6. Wolfe pink with Cherry red powder on top.
as you can see, shimmer powders aren't like glitter... they don't sparkle.. They are subdued and shiny.. Actually in a lot of way I like them better than glitter because they catch the light so beautifully!
Here is a close up so that you can see better how it transforms a matt paint to something special...
hope it helps!

Nice.
But... isn't adding shimmer powder to Interferenz Bronze kinda like gilding the lily??

I love the powders as well, but i like to use a few general colours instead. Like the irridescent whites with a pink or blue sheen because you can add them to any colours and they look fantastic.

Who makes the Dancing Peacock? I love that name and the colors nice too!
Re: Here are examples of mica powders...
Actually those are all from Erika @ Amerikan Body Art...
Actually, I add the powder to the bronze, Shannon, because I think that it helps to "set" the paint... a lot of my interferenze are consistantly workable... they never really dry all of the way.. so I powder them to make them more resistant to being smudged.
