Painted myself Empty Painted myself

Post by fairyfox Thu Jan 26, 2012 11:13 pm

Tonight I got to go to a VIP night celebrating the opening of an exhibit at our museum. A T-Rex named Sue, Anyway. I decided I wanted to paint myself for the formal event (some joking, leading to serious decisions) I just joined our chamber of commerce and thought I would see several of them there. I'm trying to make my "image" as a serious face painter stick. Anyway- I loved it!!! It was nice to be the one under my brush, and to have people admiring my work to my face rather than the "oh you look so good" I hear from behind while I am working on the next kid.
Got the usual- Is that real??? No, paint. I love the people that can't tell the difference between paint adn ink!

Anyway, thanks for reading!

Thanks to Jay Bautista from FABA. That is a pretty close rendition of part of his "Rock Star Eyes" Glad you like it! I will learn this tribal if it kills me!

I know what you mean fairyfox. That's how I feel about Pashur's eye designs. I've also got to learn the Mike Tyson tribal eye design. I swear at EVERY party the fathers are daring each other to get the Mike Tyson...having had any takers yet but I will.

I LOVED Jays Christmas Tree eyes and didn't get to do them once on anyone...ended up doing about 12 snowman!

Love it. That dinosaur skeleton rocks!

I have something similar coming up where the theme is red, so I am trying to think of more adult designs incorporating red.

I'm sure I could do that no prob... I just need a stencil and a can of spray paint...

It is amazing, the detail and proportions at such an odd angle any one would be thrilled to have that painted on them!

Ok, I've tried painting on myself before, and it was just random swirls and swooshes, and it was HARD... but THIS is just ridiculous! How did you do it? And with such fantastic detail! Amazing job!
