Drum Roll Please! Body Painting & a "Small" Bit of News
Wow! My 2012 has exploded in an amazing way! I started off the new year with finally finding an awesome photographer w/ 2 degrees in photography & he specializes in classic nudes(not the playboy type but beautiful art). I also have found a lovely young model to work with! I'm putting together a Valentine's Day package & will hopefully get some payed gigs
Oh... almost forgot... the other bit of amazing news.... I will be teaching a floral class at Art of Body Experience! It is a new convention from the wonderful Terra Fender in Ashville, NC April 7-10 2013!
Here's the untouched pics the photographer did. I'm so happy w/ the final result!

I love a positive "I told you so!" But 2012 is the year painters who have worked hard and kept pushing are going to have fantastic opportunities.
Just think that is an untouched photo and it is fabulous...out standing job.
Now you can look forward to teaching and sharing your skills and knowledge, teaching is very rewarding. You'll get all those pats on the back you so deserve and feel like a rock star...or maybe a floral star

That is just beautiful! I really love the blue base. It is so lovely!
Re: Drum Roll Please! Body Painting & a "Small" Bit of News
Fabulous work! How long does something like that take?
Re: Drum Roll Please! Body Painting & a "Small" Bit of News
It took 5 hours front & back, torso only. I wanted to do the legs & arms, but there just wasn't time, so I wrapped her lower half w/ the material.
The blue background was a last minute thing... I planed on not basing her out, but she wasn't comfortable w/ so much skin showing. I used the blue Paradise Prismacake(is it called Ocean?) & a combo of a 2" flatbrush & a 1" flibert body brush.

Again, the floral work is awesome. Just curious, if you were to repeat this, would you actually paint the background first?

Awesome painting and you're going to be a great instructor. I can't wait to see your class!

I'm really not sure yet.... I'm thinking I might paint the background & then baby wipe off where the flowers go & then paint the flowers.
My other thought is to draw it out w/ white paint just to get my placement & then do the blue & then the flowers.
I'm still in a learning curve, but would love to hear what the pros think.
