Last minute Wiz of Oz ideas please, uRGENT.

I just got a call to do a one hour special quick (part face/arm) gig at an Emerald City Celebration with a local performing arts theater...the theme is THE WIZARD OF OZ....They anticipate 50 kids...one hour....
YIKES, super quick and easy please.
I am not a cartoonist and not great at black outlining...would love suggetions/samples of things Emerald City or WIzard of Oz. I would dread someone asking for "just a little lwinged monkey or tinman on the cheek" as it wold be too darn hard...and not have a visual concept in mind....
They are supplying the paint and brushes...

50 kids in an hour is impossible unless you swipe everyone with a rainbow. No outlining, no requests and probably no one sitting in a chair even.

Rainbow swipe, name, glitter and "NEXT!" You could find some easy stencils and pounce them with the rainbow cake like the Silly Farm kits they sell but that's not really face painting now is it...and they will do that WITHOUT YOU next year.

Next time don't do this to yourself. Now bend over and I shall spank you some more......

I think I would take a rainbow cake and some glitter, and that would be that...I can't see getting through 50 kids in an hour with anything else. I would not be able to do much more.

Make a yellow/gold swipe from the cheek to the middle of the forehead- end it with a few tall green stripes to represent a city scape.

Thanks everyone, I just made my demo sheet: twister, tinmans heart, scarecrow diploma, lions medal, Wiz head, hot air balloon and glinda eyes.....and rainbow....just now realizing...TOO MANY CHOICES....I like the rainbow swipe and maybe OZ lettering and have packed the green glitter...
Will let you know...great to get prompt replies, suggestions and even the spanking was appreciated!. oops:

HI thanks everyone for the great suggestions. I was excited with the tornado and Glinda eyes and other designs.. I packed my own rainbow cakes (and glitter) to have ready even though the theater said they will supply paint and brush. Even made a little sample poster too...
Well, the day was quite hectic because the WIZ job was sandwiched right in the middle of a land trust celebration ( nature, birds, frog, turtle, etc) in a field by the river...But off to the big paying gig of "50 kids in an hour"...It was well set up with stations for beverage, sticker books, decorate your own wild sunglasses with spangles, make candy apple and piipe cleaner puppets...and my table all laid out with ...you guessed it craft paint. But the director swore she " has used it for years and never had a problem" so in came the kids and it was more like 25-30 over the course of an hour. It was such a cool setting, on stage, with the Emerald City set up and a few characters in costume...so sweet! I painted some star wands and LOTS of rainbows and my favorite ...the twiser tornado with a tiny house up in it.
Rather hectic driving back and forth but worth getting my foot in the door with the theater folk!!
It really helped having everyones' ideas as I felt encouraged and more confident.

Yeah! that does sound like a fun job. and I'm glad you got to do some educating in the process- though you would think the theater people would know about Ben Nye...

so many idea running through my head but a couple i dont think have been mentioned.. what about toto the little dog (easy little shaggy dog face).. or the lollypop men. ( lollypop swirls on check)

obviosuly you have already done the gig and it turned out fab, just thought i would put a sugestion there just in case someone else pops onto the thread wanting the same thing.

Well, I guess I was wrong! You guys came up with some good quick ideas. I'd love to see some pictures but I'm guessing aussiemarie didn't have much time to take any.
