Thank you, Shannon, AKA my Secret Santa! It was fun getting a package in the mail today! All of the goodies were great, my favorite chocolate was even in there. Smile My very favorite is the pair of Canadian red mittens. My little girl loved the singing card. She danced around with it for quite a while this evening. Smile Oh and I have to say, I have never seen hand sanitizer that had a funnier or more colorful statement across it, "B***ch Slap Those Germs" LOL

And... THANK YOU to Kim for my package today!!! I have to say that I had NO idea how delicious tribbles were... I got two bags of Tribble Treats and one is already gone... a bag of mixed nut which is half gone... Pashur's Spider book... and a Mobius Ball which I have never seen before.... Thanks so much.

Ok... have I mentioned that I hate painting myself? Yep. Hate it. So.. this new rainbow cake wasn't the most practical thing to use to lay down a 2 toned base, (it's not very smooth), but I wanted to use all of the stuff I got and incorporate it into one design. So... inspired by Mama Clown's book of cats, used my new DFX rainbow cake. I think it's "tropical". Used my new script liner brush. (poorly). Never been very good with the long, skinny brushes, but I've seen other artists use them beautifully! Used one of my new gems to make this my "princess kitty". Thanks so much Jody! I'll try and do another design using the rainbow cake the way it was intended. Wink

Lovely!!!!

Take that script liner brush & a pot of black paint. Sit down in front of your favorite TV show & paint on your inner arm. Circles, swirls, tiger strips, etc. Press it lightly, then press it harder, etc. You will fall in love w/ that brush!

Yeah. I need to. I'm fairly good at using a #3 or #4 for thin to thick lines. The longer brush just gets me! I do like the way it "finishes" though when you lift it at the end. Just need practice! Here is a simple butterfly with the new rainbow cake again, Jody. I love the colors SO SO much! I can't wait to use it at my party on Saturday.

Just a note... you guys will probably NEVER see me post complex designs on here. Simple... 3 minute stuff is pretty much what I do. lol. Please don't judge the simplicity too harshly. Embarassed

I am leaving for Mexico for 9 days and still haven't received my secret Santa gift. I just want to say that if it comes while I am away, I appologize for the delayed thank you.....to whomever.
It will suck coming back to the cold from sunny Mexico.....but, atleast I get to look forward to a surprise in my mailbox. ;0)
Have a good week everyone.

Kat,

I love your cat, and its funny in all my research and perusing the internet I haven't seen it done that way. It must be a pretty cool book. I really hate to paint on myself too. Yours look great.

I was about to toss my script brush, looks like I will have to put on a good movie this evening and get that little guy out for some test runs. I am still in search of a fave tear drop brush.

Laurie... it is really cool! So many new ideas for cats. honestly, it's the one design that I've never been satisfied with of mine. I'm great at tigers, but not so much cats. they always look too plain to me. There are like 20 SUPER original designs in there. LOVE IT!

Thanks to my Secret Santa, I'm getting to play with my brand new TAG Pearl Rainbow! I don't know who you are, but thanks a bunch!!! I also got some sponges and I can never have enough of those. I'm sick as you can tell in the photo, but I just can't put down this rainbow.

Thank you for my loot. It was the perfect excuse to get some paint on my face today (I needed that too!) It's gonna take me a few trys before I get the knack with this brand though (see how splotchy the blue is?) Holiday/New Year Gift Exchange? - Page 9 00910
