hows my luck

i am so excited, painting a party at 11am. everything packed and ready, showered dressed, kids organised and painted my face, so only have to jump in the car and head off..woot. quickly run back into bathroom to check if i look ok... coming back out slip on the wet tiles, fall shoulder/face fist onto the tiles and dislocate my shoulder....20 mins later call client telling her i cant make it as im on the way to hospital. hows that for bad luck? ps can only type with one hand!!! Crying or Very sad

ohh no!!! You poor thing. That's horrible. Is it your painting side? Super frustrating having to convales AND not being able to paint. Hope you recover quickly.

on the upside, it was my left shoulder...so there will weeks filled with painting!!!

A gram of calcium every hour (with a little milkfat, like some butter in a cracker) desensitizes pain. I am so thankful for you that it's not the painting side, but I know that doesn't make it feel better. Perhaps the 'smaller' accident helped you avoid something more serious...like something in traffic or the like. Can you get an assistant to help you load and unload for gigs while you heal?

How about this for a tale of bad luck.... I work at my friend's private daycare and this happened to me last Halloween. I was soooo busy that I didn't have time to make a batch of cupcakes that I promised the kids I'd make. So another friend of mine who LOVES to make beautiful cakes and cupcakes volunteered to make me a batch. THey were awesome... they were decorated with homemade spooky candies. So I pick them up in the morning from her and drive to the daycare. My dog is in the car 'cause he loves to go play in the backyard with my friend's dog while we work. I arrive, get out of the car, reach into the car to get the cupcakes and as I turned the cupcakes went all wobbly and I struggled to catch them before they hit the ground. They landed in the street, my pants ripped right down the seam in the rear, the car door slammed shut and the dog jumped on the door panel to see what was going on and he pushed down the lock mechanism. Now the door was locked, the keys were inside the car along with the dog, my butt was exposed for all to see and the beautiful cupcakes were smushed on the street. My boss and her friend came outside just then and I don't think they stopped laughing until after AAA came to unlock my car!
