I had a great birthday party tonight. It was a nice home and they'd set up in the garage (very clean with coated floors) and it was a 8 year old birthday with an animal theme. They had an animal show and I was face painting next to it and the keeper would come by and let the kid in the chair participate. I put numbers on hands (thanks to whomever gave that suggestion, it works really well, especially when there is other entertainment) and so softly called the next child up.

I did 20 full animal faces in 2 hours. Of course, I have no photos (I know ) but she was taking nice photos and told me that she'd send me copies. So hopefully I'll get them. This is the first time that I have no "regret" faces. Even the koala (that I wasn't ready for) passed the "what is it" test.

She asked me how much it would be and I asked the time and told her it would be $100. As I was driving home I was at a stop and counted. There was $140.00 in my apron!!! Wow. I was so grateful for the tip but also that everything went so well and I fulfilled my own expectations (which is hard!)

I would always hope for such nice clients and children.

I painted at my nieces party last night. had an absolute ball. 3 hrs of painting with 30 + kids, it was also a perfect set up. (but of course I was quite at home at my brothers place) we wrote down all the kids names on a list as they came up to me instead of having to line up, but I think I like the sound of the numbers on the hand trick better.

Good job, that sounds fantastic!

Denise, I had a party today, as well as work at the mall, and I wore your hummingbird from the video. I had so many hummingbirds walk away, it was crazy. I even booked a party after a mom wanted her daughter painted, then a hummingbird on each side of her face. Thanks so much for that amazing design! I really love it! I think it will be my go-to for MY face when I go anywhere. I will send you a picture later... Thanks again! Love your videos!

I am so glad that things are going well! You deserve it. Good things come to people who are so generous with everyone else!
