Introducing myself Empty Introducing myself

Post by facefulloffun Thu Jul 02, 2009 12:05 am

Hi Everyone,

I'm new to face painting and this forum. I have a company in Northern California called Face Full Of Fun. I've been face painting for about a year now and have done several events. My first BIG event is this coming Friday, July 3rd for the Independence Day Celebration in Colfax, CA. Even though, I'm new to face painting, I've worked in the entertainment industry behind the scenes as a camera operator and production assistant. Now I'm a stage hand too. I've worked in the entertainment industry for 22 years and thought I'd pick up face painting on the side to hopefully make a little extra money, but also to have some fun. I have a husband and a 3 year old son so they are my models that I paint on most of the time. I mostly use Snazaroo paint. I also just took a class that was put on by Kurt Drake and April Powell. I learned a lot and hope to use some of the skills I learned in my upcoming event. Anyway, glad to be here and I'll share some photos when I can. By the way, my name is Tammy.

Hi Tammy! Welcome to the forum.... I am amazed your 3 year old lets you paint them. Mine always run or decline flatly now after a year. Hubby sounds like a good sport! Have fun painting.....

Yeah when I get my paints out to practice, my son always says "Paint me. Paint me." He loves it. Not sure how long that will last but I'm taking advantage of it while I can.

Welcome! My son got sick of being painted too, until I let him make requests. He certainly does challenge me!
